Indeed, perhaps they expected many elderly viewers? I didn't have any trouble with understanding the accent. In the construction of the sentences I could hear very little mistakes.

I thought it was a quite open documentary. At one point we even see HM taking a call from one of her daughters, teling the daughter that she has to be home on time & ask her father for permission for something. It gave a rather open picture of her work, which seems to have more çontent' to it than one would normally assume. Sometimes you can even see her frustration with certain things at work. I think it was quite well done, not as fluffy as royal documentaries usually tend to be.

nice video above. i liked seeing the behind the scenes of maxima and her team working!! it would seem that this video was filmed back in may, when maxima visited ethiopia and switzerland.

The NPO aired a documentary about Queen Máxima on Wednesday. The topic is the 10-year anniversary of HM's work as advocate for financial inclusion for the UN.

Interestingly enough they seem to subtitle everything that HM says in Dutch. I have never seen this before (but I may have missed it).

An excellent documentary with nice words from Ban Ki Moon and Antonio Guterres.

funnily enough, it also seems subtitled in the video above where she speaks in spanish. who knows, maybe a request from maxima that all her videos are subtitled for the deaf/hard of hearing?

I am such in awe of her. So in awe. She truly embodies the modern boss lady as we say. You can see that she is respected because she knows her stuff. Not just the memo that the people write for her and using inspiring buzzwords, no. She knows how to make the difficult discussions happen. She is respected because she is a professional women. I am pretty sure she would have made it to MD in banking and those UN organisation at the highest level even without being a Queen and it is not something we can say in most royal families. The Dutch sons truly know how to pick high achieving partners.

I saw it and thought it was really interesting. I think it showed there is a lot more to her role for the UN.

I had the subtitles on as I’ve started learning Dutch! Mainly because most things are naturally in Dutch and have too much time on my hands, its very very early days. I did notice that either Max made a few grammatical errors which they corrected or the subtitles were transcribed wrongly as it didn’t always match.

The other one is her office. This is one of the other rooms in the Palace that can be used for larger meetings and mainly consists of a large table in the middle of the room. She recently also used it for another meeting. It's probably easier to work with a large screen in this room as the table is rather large as well.
