CP Haakon as United Nation's Development Programme (UNDP) Ambassador

I'm very dissapointed as well with the coverage of this trip. It is as much important as Mette-Marit or any other royal trip. But, yes, probably with a princess travelling it would be much interesting for the press. But still, compared to how the Denmark RF dealing with their royals abroad visits coverage, the Norwegian RF has to learn a bit from them. At least when Alexandra goes on her UN visits, the DRF would sent one of the royal photographers to follow, and published some photos, or when Joachim was in Cambodia & Vietnam, there are still more photos of him there.

The Norwegian royal Court does not have a royal photographers, the situation with Alexandra is not relevant since Märtha and Mette-Marits visits are always covered well and then some, the problem is with the men. In this case Haakon, not one Norwegian press went with him in the trip to USA, which is a shame, since he is so much more capable than his wife, he is always friendly with the press and usually gives good answers. Its sort of the same with the King, his activites is hardly covered by the press, as soon as he brings his wife, there they are again...Should one judge the Kings work from pictures available one would think he hardly did anything. Its a pitty we dont have acces to the main Norwegian photo agencies Scanpix and Allover who usually cover most events.

The press has to pay for their trip themselves, and ofcourse they know that pictures of Haakon alone might not sell well enough to cover the expenses they have of sending people on such long trips. Im sure when they go to Thailand the whole crowd will be there again, the press are luxury animals as well, his trip to Japan and Expo was well covered;)

Is this the first time that HRH has visited Mongolia? This country has a very interesting history and a rich culture. I will be very curious to see what Haakon does while he is there. He is lucky to be able to visit so many different countries.

This is a pretty long visit, about two weeks. Pretty sure going to see beautiful scenery as well as history.

Is this the first time that HRH has visited Mongolia?
Yes, as far as I know it's the first time he'll visit Mongolia.

What's strange is that the Norwegian and the English calendar have two different dates for the Visit. ;)
The English calendar says:
His Royal Highness The Crown Prince visits Mongolia as a special representative of the UNDP 2 - 11 November.

The Norwegian says:
H.K.H. Kronprinsen besøker Mongolia som spesialutsending for UNDP 2. - 6. november.

???? :D

Hopefully he will get to see the entire country. Four days isn't very long, but I'm sure that he will make good use of his time.

Wonderful photos, Her_Majesty! I really like seeing Haakon with the children. Do you know what the article says?
