Patrick d' Udekem d' Acoz, father of Princess Mathilde, attends the commemoration of the 60-year anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, Saturday 18 December 2004 in Bastogne. The village where Mathilde's parents live is close to Bastogne.

Mathilde also went to primary school in Bastogne.

As far as I know, they're both single. Elisabeth did have a long and serious relationship with prince Charles Philippe d'Orléans.

But maybe they have someone...? The family is very discreet.

Catherine, Thank you for posting more beautiful photos of Mathilde's family home. My guess is they have alot of privacy in that setting. I know the press in Belgium is not allowed to follow the royals as closely as in other countries - but do you have any idea how often Mathilde sees her family?

They see each other very often. They often visit them in the weekends, and the d'Udekem d'Acoz family also has a place in Brussels.

According to the BRMB...Princess Mathilde's sister Elisabeth d'Udekem d'Acoz has got engaged to Markgraf (?) Alfonso Pallavicini (which according to Marlene from the BRMB ..of Austro-Hungarian descendent)

Mathilde 's sister, countess Elisabeth d'Udekem d'Acoz (29) (godmother of Emmanuel) is engaged to an Italian marquis: Alfonso, Marchese Pallavicini (41), an Italian noble.

Alfonso was born on July 5th, 1964 as the first son and first child of the late Marchese Carlo Alessandro (°1923-+2004) and Avagora, née Contessa degli Azzoni Avagadro (°1926-). His has one brother, Marchese Edoardo (°1965-). His uncle, Marchese Federico married in 1961 Duchess Helene of Württemberg, elder sister of the actual Head of the Royal House of Württemberg, Duke Carl.

So a very good match I would say!

Alfonso now works since 1992 the BNP Paribas bank, where he is head of coverage and Territories Europe. He studied in Vienna and Venice.
