Today, June 8, King Philippe handed out the Francqui Prize 2016 in Brussels, a scholarly and scientific prize by the Francqui Foundation. This year KU Leuven Professor Barbara Baert was rewarded.

Today, September 27, King Philippe made a visit to the Home Baudouin, a shelter for homeless men in the city centre of Brussels. The home is run by the organization Oeuvre De L'hospitalite that celebrates its 130th anniversary this year.

Yesterday, September 29, King Philippe received Royal Military School's Cadets at the Royal Palace in Brussels. They had been sworn in on September 27.

Our King is wearing his Head of the State and Army (4 Stars) Unifore perfectly. Also his Sash. It is sad that our Highest Order the Leopold Order has no Collar.
Great worker after a State Visit in Japan which return took 24 hours.

King Philippe received a delegation of the "Imperial Commanderie of Noble Haspengouwse Fruiterers and their Gastronomy" at the Palace on October 25.
The delegation handed him a basket of the new crop of Belgian apples and pears. It was the 25th time that the Commanderie was received at the Royal Palace in Brussels.
