It's about an hour and a half by car from the airport to the UN area. I hope they helicoptered in to the city?

:previous:

The visit is listed for April 23 - April 25. Judging from previous journeys and official/state visits the final day is usually the date of departure, so it should be 2-3 days filled with engagements.

Yesterday evening, April 23, they had their first event and attended a reception at the Morgan Library & Museum:

And here are the first photos of day 2, April 24:

King Philippe held a speech at the high-level meeting 'Peacebuilding and Sustaining Peace' and they met with Antonio Guterres, United Nations Secretary General at the United Nations, before opening the exhibition 'World War One - Far from Home'.

The bicycle ride video is nice and i really like it, but biking without a helmet bothers me.
I'm sure it was short distance and everything was under control, but still...

 Don't. With us in the low countries everyone generally rides on bikes without a helmet.

That is pretty normal here, even in big, busy cities like Amsterdam.

I don't know why but Eleonore's attendance (plus her enthusiastic posture in the RF support photo) gives me a feeling that she is the most die hard football fans in the family. ;)
