On the occasion of the International Women's Day King Philippe and Queen Mathilde hosted a lunch for women from different sectors at the Castle of Laeken yesterday, March 3rd:

On May 19, after the state visit from Jordan King Philippe and Queen Mathilde met with members of the staff of Ostend Airport to thank them for their work after the Brussels Attacks in March.

The Governors of the Provinces were received by King Philippe and Queen Mathilde at the Royal Palace in Brussels today, June 29:

It was nice to see Philippe and Mathilde with Elisabeth there, it appears that we have been seeing more of Elisabeth lately. She seems like quite a poised and sweet natured young lady.
 
It's nice to see Elizabeth attend more and more. She looks like a sweet young lady
 
Its great to see Elizabeth with her parents. I think it a good idea she is getting introduced to events in her teens. Of course her education comes first as is allowing her to be a teen, but she should also be comfortable in her future roll. All in all she looks quite poised young lady. :flowers:
 
Elisabeth has such natural grace, she's very poised for someone her age but it doesn't look "fake", it comes from within and is a part of her.

I love how they are dressing her lately, with dresses that are perfectly age appropiated: not for a little girl nor for a grown woman.

Nice event but I can not take it au sérieux. The three states with a serious German-speaking part are Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The Belgian, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein German-speaking people together barely fill a small town. It are totally meaningless dwarfs. When you drive from Maastricht to Luxembourg, before you have even noticed it at all, the German-speaking region in Belgium is already passed.

If we go this way: when will the United Kingdom join the Francophonie? After all London is the biggest French city outside France...

It is actually onle the second or third year that the Grand Duke of Luxembourg and the King of the Belgians attend this inoffical meeting. Before it where the Presidents of Germany, Austria and Switzerland and the Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein sdo the countreis where german is the Main language

Its a nice event for the to attend especially that they have german speaking people, even if it's a very small population.
