It's Emmanuel, double M. Beautiful name, goes very well together with Elisabeth and Gabriel too.

Gongratulations, Belgium!
You know, I actually thought about the baby being named Emmanuel, just recently, but then I thought 'Nah!'
Turns out I was right after all. :p

How common is the name Emmanuel in Belgium, or even in Europe? Just curious. It is a beautiful name but very uncommon in the United States.

I also think that it will be the brother of Grand Duke Henri. They spent some vacations together, I think he is a very good friend of Philippe. And I don't think he is that close to the younger guillaume.
Btw, don't forget it's eMManuel

it´s not very common in the netherlands, it´s more often Manuel, but also manuel is not common. I am curious about other european country´s, maybe in Belgium it is common! or in France, it sounds a bit french to me.

Emmanuel is not very common, neither Elisabeth or Gabriel. But it's remarkable it are all biblical names and the same pronountiation in Dutch and French. In Belgium is that a good thing.
