Hello everyone, this is my first post here in the Belgium forum, I hope is the first of many and if I'm making any mistake with the pictures or with the thread they should be posted on please let me know. :flowers:

Like I said in the introduction, I have to confess my never ending crush on Prince Phillippe and these are some of my favorite pictures of him (I can't remember all the dates but I will credit the pictures from the source they come from) :

The beard suits him so well...

In fact, I find him better looking now than when he was younger, Mathilde also looks lovelier these days, I think the love they share make them age gracefully and glow :)

Although I don't mind him in uniform, specially the flying one!!

And this picture makes me feel lightheaded, I love both strawberries and the man who's eating them!!

Where does it come from? It looks like a photoshop exercise that didn't go to well :ROFLMAO:

It looks like it could be from the Vanitiy Fair Issue from around 2003 (don't remember the exact year) which futured a lot of Royals. There was a pic of Willem-Alexander and Maxima in one of the Halls of Noordeinde Palace which was in the same style.

I think it may be an outtake from that photoshoot. Generally for those kind of thing the photographer uses to have more then a picture and more then a set, even if at the end he chose just one picture (in that case probably the magazine' staff made the decision). I really like it though, and I'd love to see more official pictures of them made this way, like Scandinavian royal families do.

Prince Phillippe was a good-looking man in his younger years as he is now that he's gotten older. In the pilot's photo, he looks like a young Nathan Fillion, the Canadian actor, only with lighter hair. Oh, my!

And I really like that outtake of Mathilde with their daughter, although Phillippe is still posing for the camera. It's always the relaxed, impromptu poses that are the most appealing and engaging.

Love Nathan - A good Edmonton boy!! he could be Phillippe's twin in that picture!!
Philippe was good looking then, handsome and distinguished now! Some gents are like a fine wine, only getting better looking with age.

Lovely picture! I agree it could be an outtake. That issue has pride of place on my bookshelf (even if it is a magazine!) and the picture is definitely from that time. They went with a completely different picture for the magazine, however.

Are there pictures of King Philippe's 18th birthday celebrations?

Elisabeth is still a baby with her mother and cousins Louise, Amedeo and Joachim

On what occasion was this photo taken?

Felipe from Spain and Philippe from Belgium:

Was this photo taken in Spain or Belgium?

In the autumn of 1999, Mathilde d'Udekem made her first public appearances as the fiancee of crown prince Philippe.

24 September 1999, at the launch of the website of the "Prince Philippe Foundation".

It was the couple's first appearance after their engagement announcement.

Crown prince Philippe & Princess Mathilde with their dog Kinga gave a press conference at the Laeken greenhouses where the couple announced they were expecting their first child.

So, it seems Mathilde's uncle already rightly guessed that the baby would be called Elisabeth if a girl! (He guessed Baudouin for a boy)
