Was this also a Sinterklaas event?

As he attended, I would say, yes :) Mathilde met the families
and relatives of soldiers who are currently participating in keeping
the peace in Afghanistan, the Balkan, Lebanon, Africa and the rest
of the world, so it's a royal support and acknowledgement - with
Santa Claus as a special guest :)

Here are some more pics:

I've never heard of a 'walking lunch' before. It's funny the face Mathilde is making in pic 1. She looks nice in Pic 3.

Me too, I had to look twice when reading "walking lunch", maybe
I had heard it before, but was surprised nevertheless :)

Thanks for the updates on the activities of Crown Princely couple, who are very busy with various engagements!:flowers:
A walking lunch during the Diplomatic Days ... I wounder what kind of lunch that might be. Events associated with a diplomatic corp are usually formal.A walking lunch sounds very informal to me.
As for the motor show, the car looked fantastic, whereas Prince Phillipe looked somewhat tired.

Goodness, that's quite a boo-boo on Philippe's lip.
That sports car looks so cool! Like something from a James Bond movie.

During a "walking lunch" the crown princely couple would have more opportunity to talk to everyone present, whereas during a "sitting lunch" they would only be able to talk to the people in their immediate proximity. Moreover, sitting people around a table brings with it the problem of ranking them, and that could be problematic.

Philippe and the sportscar... boys and their toys, I suppose ...

Thanks for clarifications!:flowers:
It makes sense to organise a walking lunch because the latter provides an opportunity for diplomats and members of the royal family to communicate with each other in a semi-formal setting. Indeed, the ranking would have given some headaches to people in charge of organising the event.

Lovely new pics of Mathilde from yesterday.
We've seen that dress before back in December.
