How wonderful.

That's rather more provocative than what he actually said.

It sounds like Camilla fed them a rather ordinary diet, and then got them burgers and fun things they liked when it became more easier to do so in the 1980s. It actually resembled what my mother fed us... like the PB children we actually liked it when our father was away from the home b/c mom fed us goodies that dad didn't care for (like those cheap little potpies I still love). The only traumatic revelation to me is that Camilla doesn't like to bake.

I was watching Market Kitchen a few days ago, and Tom presented the recipe for "Tom's Mum's Roast Chicken". I'm not sure whether I would consider this a royal plug, or take it as face value as Tom's Mum's Roast Chicken! Would be interested to hear what other posters thought.

Well, if the recipe had been made “Duchess of Cornwall's Roast Chicken” or “Royal Roast Chicken”, I might have considered it a plug. However, "Tom's Mum's Roast Chicken" sounds innocent enough to me. Maybe Camilla did make great Roast Chicken, so why not give her a credit for the recipe?
