As pies go, this one sat somewhere between glum and downright suicidal. The crust - a dreary mélange of potatoes, margarine and baking powder - was mean and purse-lipped. The filling was more depressing still: diced potatoes, carrots, swedes and cauliflower boiled mercilessly

Tom Parker Bowles - food writer, son of the Duchess of Cornwall, stepson of Prince Charles - grew up, rather surprisingly, on Findus beef burgers.

Thank you for the pictures, Iceflower!

Camilla is certainly very proud of Tom.
Both Laura and Sarah looked wonderful: they resemble siblings in this picture.

That's rather more provocative than what he actually said.

It sounds like Camilla fed them a rather ordinary diet, and then got them burgers and fun things they liked when it became more easier to do so in the 1980s. It actually resembled what my mother fed us... like the PB children we actually liked it when our father was away from the home b/c mom fed us goodies that dad didn't care for (like those cheap little potpies I still love). The only traumatic revelation to me is that Camilla doesn't like to bake.

Camilla Parker Bowles is poised to celebrate the arrival of three more grandchildren, I can reveal.
The Duchess of Cornwall’s daughter Laura, 31, is expecting twins later this year, while her 34-year-old son Tom and fashion writer wife Sara, are expecting their second child in March. Coincidentally, both couples have toddler daughters

Congratulations to Tom, Sara and their families!
(hope this is accurate news becauseI don't trust Katie Nicholl's stories that much).

Congratulations to Tom and Sara, I rather hope it is a boy, so Lola may have a brother.

Default Tom's Mum's Roast Chicken

I was watching Market Kitchen a few days ago, and Tom presented the recipe for "Tom's Mum's Roast Chicken". I'm not sure whether I would consider this a royal plug, or take it as face value as Tom's Mum's Roast Chicken! Would be interested to hear what other posters thought.
