I heard about this last week when the Announcement was made during WE Day. It's a fantastic idea I think and a wonderful way to get more of our young people into Community Service. I also think it really works well side by side really well w/The DoE Award in Canada too.

I really like what I've seen so far of Prince's Charities Canada, especially concerning Aboriginal Issues, and really looking forward to what's coming next. :)

In new @PrincesTrust documentary, Ant & Dec follow Prince Charles for a year & meet Will, Harry &Camilla. Good read:

It’s the most intimate Royal documentary EVER. Now Ant and Dec reveal how they hung out with the heir to the throne for an entire year, how Charles opened up about his ‘darling’ Camilla, invited their wives over for a wild weekend with Rod Stewart, and introduced them to William and Harry – with hilarious results…

Here’s a Royal conundrum. Who would you pick to spend a year shadowing the heir to the throne with a film crew, with unprecedented access to his closest family and friends?

While the 67-year-old Prince Charles could, when offered this very choice, have anointed any number of heavyweight broadcasters (Andrew Marr, Jonathan or David Dimbleby or even Jeremy Paxman), the future king instead demonstrated his common (and perhaps revealingly mischievous) touch by giving Royal assent to the working-class kings of light entertainment – irrepressible Geordie presenters Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, better known as Ant and Dec.

What a delightful article and even more so, what a treat watching this documentary would be. I'll have to keep my eyes out for it replaying here somewhere in the States in the future.

What attracts me most about it is the sheer genius of putting together a documentary with people that you wouldn't normally put together and having it all come together in both seriousness and in good fun and from that, a lasting friendship develops which more than emphasizes the significant work that the Prince's Trust has done over the past 40 years.

I'm not sure where this link should go. It's the Express's preview of a programme to be aired on British TV tomorrow night, a commemoration of 40 years of the Prince's Trust. However most of the article seems to deal with William and Harry and family relationships, including some jokes about Harry and about their father.

The Prince of Wales is the new patron of Holocaust Memorial Day Trust, succeeding his mother the Queen.

Her Majesty has held the role of patron for all 10 years of the organisation’s existence, visiting the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp last year and regularly hosting Holocaust survivors at Buckingham Palace.

Olivia Marks-Woldman, chief executive of the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust said that the charity was “honoured” that Prince Charles had accepted their invitation to take on the position.
