Prince Charles, receive Ireland's President Michael D Higgins and his wife as they arrive at Dumfries House in Cumnock, south-west Scotland, on September 6, 2017. Prince Charles, in his role as Duke of Rothesay, is hosting President Higgins as part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of saving Dumfies House for the nation.

This isn't in any way meant to be disrespectful to President Higgins or the Prince of Wales, but I couldn't help but giggle at the first of Iceflower's pictures posted. Both Higgins and the PoW could be put into costume and look like a couple of happy garden gnomes looking at their faces. Just a quick first impression.

I really like that there are more occasions showing congeniality between the UK and the Republic of Ireland these days. President Higgins has always impressed me as being someone squeezably charming. He always has a happy smile on his face.

Osipi! I've thought for a while now that President Higgins resembles a leprechaun.

Short but important trip. I enjoy listening to him speak

Some people may click to see photos of turtles. Hopefully will continue to read. There is an important message to be read.

Have said it before, Charles is really my favorite british royal to watch, Harry only close second.

Wow, "in high spirits", "dapper", "Chuckling Charles", "positively giddy", "gleeful". These are not the adjectives usually appearing in articles about Charles in the DF, but there they are.

They make most of his stepping up for his mother although Charles has been doing disaster tours for decades. But, as I have always said, the DF may pen drivel but they publish the best photos and what a great set of photos they are. Lots of people of all ages there to see him and happy to share and talk to him. I also noticed the habit of bringing the small dogs when Camilla visits is now appearing at Charles and he doesn't seem to mind a bit.

Does anyone know anything about the authors of this article, Emily Chan and Stephanie Linning?
