Great pix giov. thank you so much. As for the horrors of dog ownership I can only suggest you all "Downsize". The obligations of owning a Chihuahu are far less onerous!

When the Duchess of Cornwall Camilla Parker Bowles walked her dog in Green Park in London last week, it was no ordinary paw-wow. The future queen of England's stroll helped give a pat on the back of Nepal's stray dogs.

Naughty BeatrixFan.
![]() I've been very ill for the last 2 weeks, roughly, and one night, about 4 a.m., I saw a news piece about Charles and Camilla. The news said that Charles is riding a new wave of high popularity, while Camilla's has plummeted in the last year. Do any of you in the U.K. know why Camilla's popularity has tanked? Is it because of the accusations of laziness?? |

I think part of it had to do with a bunch of negative publicity when she decided not to accompany Charles on the Indonesian part of his tour because the climate was too hot and humid or she needed to arrange his birthday party or whatever. This is somewhat the same sort of thing that the younger generation are catching flak for, as did Princess Margaret - royals are expected to grin and bear it and just get on with it when things are unpleasant, they aren't supposed to cherry pick the pleasanter stuff and duck the difficult or strenuous bits. Her detractors are just waiting for this sort of excuse to pile on, and I think there's been a knock-on effect on public opinion.

A percentage of the British public didn't even realise a royal tour was happening.

I just feel that Prince Charles is being more and more accepted by his people. His wife the Duchess will be accepted too. She really seems to bring the best of Charles out. And to me a happy couple will be wonderful for Britian and the world stage.

I tried to find out from YouGov how many people were polled and the criteria laid down by the company asking for the poll. So far no reply. Speaking to some friends and employees this morning over coffee, I was amazed to find that none of them watch the news, buy and read a paper or read the news online!
Too much doom and gloom, apparently they rely on hearing anything startling from people who may have seen/read the news, which is all very well if they repeat what they have heard accurately, without their own opinion. As a UK citizen, I am not 'concerned' by poll results as I have never seen any evidence that 1004 people can show how a few million might think.

I have to agree with you. Its difficult to rely on these polls as the sample sizes tend to be quite small, and often do not necessarily stretch the entire social fabric of the kingdom. I think most people have accepted Camilla as the wife of Charles, and I guess, in time will accept her as Queen.
