Funny - I'm not a Prince William person one way or the other - but I saw the same thing you saw. Yes. Pretty hot in that video. Yes. He has all his hair, too - that helps - so he must be young(er) there - early twenties?

I would guess that age range as well. Which indicates that Prince William's approval of and, dare I say, affection for Camilla is nothing new. I am guessing from his full head of hair that it was probably from before she and his father married. I wonder if I can trace down a date for the video clip? Hmmm...... something to think about. :)

I remember reading back in the summer of '98 in 'The Ladies' Home Journal' (or something along those lines) that Prince Charles had asked his sons if inviting Camila to his 50th Birthday party would bother them. William's answer stuck in my mind. He basically said 'whatever makes you happy, Papa', and to me, that meant acceptance of his father's choice of a woman he had loved for years. I'm glad to see them all getting along, because it would be painful for Charles to have to be stuck between the sons that he loves, and the love of his life.

I agree wholeheartedly that the young Princes have accepted their father's choice and from th evidence (interviews and video clips), I would say that not only do they accept her, they are at the very least fond of her.
I think that Her Majesty also accepts Camilla she now sees how much they love each other and how well Camilla is willing to work in support of Prince Charles and the entire Royal Family. Camilla has become a valuable asset to "the Firm."

The clip must date from 2002 or earlier as Prince Charles stopped playing polo after 2002.

Thank you. That approach to dating it never occurred to me.

No freakin way, really? When did this happen?! I thought if rich British men didn't play polo they would die.

Did the boys know that their mother and father weren't in love after a while?
Thinking along these lines made me realize something also that most probably influenced William and Harry's opinion and relationship with Camilla and that is that most likely they have never heard one negative word from Camilla about their mother. Oh I'm sure Camilla had her opinions but she was wise enough to say them in private and to trusted friends she knew wouldn't repeat things. As the boys grew older, they came to realize that there are two sides to a story and after meeting and spending time with Camilla, they realized that not only did she make their father happy, but was a down to earth likeable woman and could be a trusted friend.

to me, it seems like William genuinely likes Camilla a lot. as for Harry, I think he respects that his father loves and needs her, but I'm not sure whether he really likes her that much (even if he says so)

Given the fact that Prince Harry tends to speak his mind rather than what is politically correct, I am inclined to take him at his word. If he's only spouting the "party line" about his feelings for Camilla, it would be pretty much a first for him to speak what some people want to hear rather than his own thoughts and feelings.

On the line of Prince Harry's relationship with Camilla, how often have we seen photographs that included the two of them in the same shot? Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places but it seems like it just isn't photographic news to show them together.

I think it's pretty obvious that Camilla gets on very well with Princes William and Harry. The photos with both Camilla and Harry together show that. The Duchess has never - EVER - said a word in public about that dreadful time before Charles and Diana broke up, never spilled the beans to the press. She is a big asset to the royal family and something else which endears her to me, is that she is a major supporter of animal welfare and patron of a refuge.

First off - I just LOVE Camilla's hat sense! I think she and I were present at the Court of the Sun King of France at Versailles In a previous life, of course. Ha! I LOVE HER HATS!

Which brings up the matter - why are there not threads about the French Court at Versailles during all the Louis'? Amazing time in history - and talk about royal plummage - and protocol!

Side note: what on earth might Charles be looking at with such intensity - and actually seeing at that elevation (they are on the BP balcony, after all)?

There's lots to look at...maybe even a familiar face in the crowd?

I just checked the facial expression you're referring to, and to me, it looks like he's deep in thought. Wonder what inspired the expression, regardless of what it is.

Prince Charles: "Bloody d--n balcony...bloody d--n uniform. Wish I was in my garden! I wonder if anyone will notice me drinking up here?"

You should put that picture with your caption in the 'Caption This' thread in the Royal Chitchat (or Royal Life and Lifestyle, don't remember which at the moment) section. It's priceless

Nice try but Charles really isn't a drinker. I was thinking more along the lines "hmmm... looks like these shoes just might last another 20 years".

How Kate and Camilla have become best friends sharing beauty tips and royal do's and don'ts | Mail Online

This particularly struck me:
Quote:
The Royal men, including Prince William and Prince Charles, don't have much sensitivity when it comes to easing new members into royal life, according to a close family friend
What are they talking about here. I mean really William her husband, why wouldn`t he out of all the other members of the BRF be sensitive and sorta get what Kate must be going through. He knows how much his mother heck even his aunt struggled with adjusting with royal life that`s why I find that sentence weird.
