Wonderful pictures. They seem to be doing a great job.

It really seems to be an enjoyable tour and I can't help thinking how Camilla looks great!

.

By now the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall have continued their journey in Mexico, here are some pics from yesterday, November 2nd:

** dailymail: As the Duchess of Cornwall I should know a thing or two about pasties! Camilla and Charles try..**
Can someone tell me please what a Cornish pasty is?
Love the pictures, although the up close ones of Camilla are frightening in a way...

Miners in many countries take savory, meat pies down into the mines for meals. They used to warm them on their headlamps, back in the day.

The traditional Anglo Saxon version has beef, root veg, gravy. In my area of the world, the essential ingredients are beef, parsley, pepper, turnips (or parsnips or rutabagas and sometimes potato) in a wrapper of pie crust but no pie tin. But here are many variations.

They are crazy yummy - while being peasant food. :)

First- Thanks-That's what I thought- That's what they are in my neck of the woods too- never been a big fan. But I thought maybe I read it wrong, and it said Cornish pastry. Isn't that like a cream puff?
Second- Do royal tours have doctors?

Yes, unusual to see Charles in such light-coloured suits. He looks as if he is having a ball!
Charles is actually one of the most sartorially inclined members of the BRF. When attending formal occasion like memorials he wears black, official visits seem to be various shades of blue but overall he seems to favour light grey suits and his suits summer are in white, cream, beige, tan, PoW grey and made of the finest of linen, cotton and lightweight wool.

His preference seems to be for double breasted suits rather than three preice suits, except of course for single breasted Morning Dress where a waistcoat is absolutely de rigueur. This too is more often in light grey as well, with the noteable exception of his wedding suit.

Black is reserved for formal occasions where Dinner Jacket is the mandated dress.

I think they just mis-spelled it. These were savory - I went and looked at one of the place's website.

Doctors often go along on tours. Particularly for the longish tours. I remember reading in pre-tour publicity that the POW's MD was to accompany them.

It's quite practical, really, when you are struggling to get past jet lag
encountering the odd virus, etc. and you have a highly inflexible schedule to keep.

And he seems to be having such a FUN time. Here is another completely un-serious photo from yesterday. http://www.zimbio.com/pictures/ZwptTJSiuTM/Prince+Charles+Visits+Mexico+Day+3/AXxynS7_hGy
