The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will visit Germany from 7th-10th May 2019. The Prince and The Duchess will visit Berlin, Leipzig and Munich during the four-day tour.

TRH’s visit is at the request of the British Government and will celebrate the UK-Germany relationship and its enduring importance to both countries.

Interesting that thee will be another british royal visit to Gemany (the third in four years). but the last State Visit of a german President to the UK was over 20 years ago in 1998.

if i have the time and chance i will watch them. I'm delighted about the news.

The King & Queen of the Netherlands seem to make official visits to Germany most years, without corresponding return visits. ?

Will Prince Charles be visiting any of his German relatives?

He may see some of them but there won't be any sort of 'official meeting' in which case we won't know.

Later in the year there is a celebration planned for the 200th anniversary of the birth of Prince Albert. I suspect whichever British royals attend that - and I have read somewhere that it will be at least Charles and Anne - they will then meet up with the German and other continental royal relatives.

This visit is an official tour in which Charles and Camilla are doing events that are 100% approved of by the British government so any time to make a private visit to relatives would be frowned upon, unless said relative was involved in the actual government of Germany.

Any coverage of events or news from today?

i managed to take a picture of Prince Charles today. it's quite a experience
