Court Circular 6th June:
Clarence House

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning attended the Normandy D-Day Seventy-Fifth Anniversary Service in Bayeux Cathedral, France.

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon attended a Commemorative Service at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Cemetery in Bayeux, where The Prince of Wales laid a wreath at the Cross of Sacrifice, and afterwards attended a Reception for veterans and their families.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, Joint Presidents, this evening held a Reception at Clarence House for the Elephant Family.

Court Circular 17th June:
Windsor Castle

The Queen, accompanied by The Prince of Wales, The Duke of York, The Earl of Wessex, The Princess Royal, The Duke of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy, today held a Chapter of the Most Noble Order of the Garter in the Throne Room, Windsor Castle.

The Duchess of Cornwall, The Countess of Wessex, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, The Duchess of Gloucester, The King and Queen of Spain and The King and Queen of the Netherlands were present.

The Queen later gave a Luncheon Party for the Companions of the Most Noble Order of the Garter at which The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke of York, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy were present.

They are fine Commonwealth representatives for the occasion. Both are children of World War II servicemen and both Camilla and Prince Charles are keenly interested in the experiences of people.
What a huge time in history to remember.
The Anniversary has prompted me to look up our Australian involvement during this exact time in World War II. Australian airmen participated in the Normandy D-Day landings and of course elsewhere in France at that time. Fearless and so sacrificial were those huge numbers of brave men.
Seventy-five years on and the memories seem fresh for the old ones gathered.
The stillness of rows of young men's graves contrasts severely with the lively, benefits we enjoy today.
We owe them a great debt.
We owe them to keep the peace.

I attended Sunday Mass a few years back at Bayeux Cathedral in Normandy and recall seeing a plaque on the wall dedicated to the Prince and Duchess from a visit .
 
Why would you expect it to be marked in such a way?
If anything a joint service/ dinner to celebrate would be enough but not a whole tour IMO.

Well, a joint family tour of Wales for the occasion would’ve been the greatest royal family tours we’ve ever seen, IMO. There’s nothing wrong with an official service and dinner to go along with it, too.
 
Look at all those happy people waving the Union Jack and the Welsh flags.

Charles is now officially in Ga Ga land, cooing over babies in public and Camilla gets the kids and the Dogs!

Only in the UK would people bring their dogs to meet the Royals but hey, it works and everyone's happy.
 
The visit to Wales continued today, July 4.

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall visited the White Rose Primary School and The Winding House in Elliots Town, New Tredegar.

The Prince of Wales visited the Llanover Estate and Haley Hanson in Brecon.

And the Duchess of Cornwall as President of Maggie's visited the charity's first cancer care centre in Cardiff:

It's nice to see such positive coverage of Charles and Camilla, and it's clear that a good time is being had by all!
 
Enjoying this trip to Wales, I like the tradition. More poignant this year as Charles marks 50 years as Prince of wales.

The weather seems great for them. Definitely enjoying themselves.

I love the photos with them with the people especially the older ladies. Oh and the baby with the hat on.

Love the school nutrition program as part of science they were part of. So important for kids to learn.

The Prince of Wales this morning attended the Twenty Fifth Anniversary celebrations of the South Wales Police Force, at South Wales Police Headquarters, Cowbridge Road, Bridgend, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Mid Glamorgan (Mr Peter Vaughan).

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended the launch of the Royal College of Nursing’s Prince of Wales Nursing Cadet Scheme at Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Llantrisant, Mid Glamorgan.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening held a Reception.

The Duchess of Cornwall, President, Royal Voluntary Service, this afternoon attended a Reception at the Lunch Club, Dolau Bran, Llandovery, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed (Miss Sara Edwards).

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning attended a Reception at Patti Pavilion, Swansea, to mark the 50th Anniversary of Swansea’s City status and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Glamorgan (Mr Byron Lewis).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Morriston Tabernacle, Woodfield Street, Swansea.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, afterwards visited the National Botanic Garden of Wales, Middleton Hall, Llanarthne, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed (Miss Sara Edwards).

His Royal Highness, Royal Founding Patron, later held a Reception for Prime Cymru.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, the Carmarthen and District Youth Opera, this afternoon attended a Concert at the Lyric Theatre, Carmarthen, and was received by Lieutenant Colonel David Mathias (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed).

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited Carmarthen Provision Market.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited the Winding House Museum, Cross Street, New Tredegar, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gwent (Brigadier Robert Aitken).

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards visited White Rose Primary School, School Street, New Tredegar.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon visited Llanover, near Abergavenny.

His Royal Highness later visited Hayley Hanson Hide, Llandefalle, Breconshire, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Powys (Mrs Tia Jones).

The Duchess of Cornwall, President, the Maggie Keswick Jencks Cancer Caring Centres Trust, this afternoon opened Maggie’s Cardiff, Chris McGuigan Building, Velindre Cancer Centre, Velindre Road, Whitchurch, Cardiff, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Glamorgan (Mrs Morfudd Meredith).

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited the Cardiff and Vale Sexual Assault Referral Centre, Cardiff.

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited Mevagissey and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall (Colonel Edward Bolitho).

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall this afternoon visited Boscastle to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Cornwall Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, this afternoon attended a tenth anniversary celebration for the Big Lunch at the Eden Project, Bodelva, Cornwall.

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall, Patron, The Prince’s Countryside Fund, and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited Ginsters Limited, Moss Side Industrial Estate, Tavistock Road, Callington, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall (Colonel Edward Bolitho).

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards visited Tavistock and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Devon (Mr David Fursdon).

The Prince of Wales, Duke of Cornwall and The Duchess of Cornwall later held a Reception at the Duchy Nursery, Lostwithiel, to celebrate the Fiftieth Anniversary of His Royal Highness’s Chairmanship of The Prince’s Council.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited the newly restored Hotel Endsleigh, Milton Abbot, Tavistock.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, The Prince's Countryside Fund, this morning visited Gregory Distribution Limited, Kingsmill Industrial Estate, Saunders Way, Cullompton, to mark the Company's Centenary and was received by Commodore Jake Moores (Deputy Lieutenant of Devon).

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited Exmoor National Park at Simonsbath to celebrate the Seventieth Anniversary of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 and were received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset (Mrs. Richard Maw).

Today is the Anniversary of the Birthday of The Duchess of Cornwall.

Her Royal Highness this morning visited the Donkey Sanctuary, Slade House Farm, Sidmouth, to mark their Fiftieth Anniversary and was received by His Honour Erik Salamonsen (Deputy Lieutenant of Devon).

One thing I’ve noticed about Charles & Camilla is their good nature. They truly seem to enjoy themselves at these visits/events.

Actually, I enjoy the engagements they do together. Camilla and Charles seem to bring out the very best in each other and there is always lots of smiles, fun and laughter. Even better is their almost instant rapport with the public as everyone seems to have such a good time.

TRH The Prince and Duchess attended the 100th Royal Welsh Show today at Llanelwedd in Powys.
