The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall received Myanmar's top civilian leader, Nobel peace laureate, Aung San Suu Kyi for a meeting at Clarence House today, May 5:

Good job by all especially the first responders, medical staff. It is sad that the world is going thru this weekly.
 
It's great that Charles and Camilla went to visit the victims of such a horrific attack.

As the article posted by Rudolph states, the Manchester suicide bombing only last month was quickly overshadowed as more and more horrific events occurred and filled the newspapers and TV screens. Its not so though for the people that were actually up front and personal with the arena bombing. Its probably still very fresh in their minds and their psyches and having the royal family in the persons of Charles and Camilla coming to meet them lets them know they're still very much thought about and appreciated.

Most likely, IMO, not allowing television cameras in to film the meeting was a wise one. This way with pictures only, the focus is more on the people themselves rather than the venue where the horrors took place.
 
Pleased to see that the BRF are continuing to visit the victims, first responders and hospital staff in Manchester. I'd like to think that they are not forgotten because of recent events in London.

:bang: Don't read the DM comments because commenters are continuing the War of the Wales there. Frustrated to see that happens when the focus should be upon the people who aided the victims that night and not a decades old who did what to whom.

Today Charles and Camilla together with the Queen and other members of the Royal Family attended the service at Crathie Kirk near Balmoral.
