Roslyn Well said. To my very great surprise, I find that I have changed my opinion of the D of C over time. I admire her in her current role.

For its 50th anniversary. :)
I do hope a royal visits the Eastenders set.

For Eastenders...that will be another 25 years from now....perhaps William or Harry (or their spouses) will do the honours then.:)

I am quite pleased that Camilla will go to corrie street -- I wonder if she is a fan?

Its good to see Camilla out again. She really has not been seen out and about much recently

No real surprise that the Nintendo Wii is THE topic of the whole
event.. ;)

On reflection, perhaps it should have been temporarily renamed The King's Head.
Still, the Duchess of Cornwall looked very much at home and she stepped behind the bar of the famous Rover's Return yesterday.
Following in the footsteps of many a royal before her, Camilla, 62, even pulled a pint during her visit to the legendary Coronation Street set in Manchester yesterday.

I adore the contrast of Camilla and Beverly.
Camilla in a fur lined, knee length coat with knee high boots.
Beverly in a sparkly jacket, mini dress and high heels. :flowers:

Wonderful to see her return, and her brooch is a wonderful testiment to Hilda Ogden. :)

Two of my favourite things have finally come together, the Duchess and Coronation Street! Thanks for the lovely photos and links guys. The Duchess looks lovely today and I just LOVED seeing her next to Liz, Audrey and Gail. If only Vera Duckworth could a been there! Brilliant!

Is it just me or does it seem that Camilla is doing more on her own at the moment?

I know she is still doing lots with Charles but she is also striking out more on her own - which is a good thing and shows, to me, a couple of things - she is getting more comfortable and confident with her role and that organisations etc are asking for her alone indicating that the public are increasingly happy to see her alone.
