Much better choice of clothing today, but can't she get rid of that hat?!

I think anyone who has visited the Commonwealth or any War Graves Cemetary, would get upset. Seeing all those graves of young men barely out of their teens can be very distressing. Even Charles got upset.
It could have been the grave of one of her fathers friends or relatives.

HRH was just on bbc news 24 talking briefly about her father and she looked very moved by today's event in egypt. I like the blue outfit today, a wee bit hot there for my liking, how do royal not manage to sweat in such heat.

My great-uncle also fought at El-Alamein.

He actually stood on a land mine, was blown high in the air, many around him were killed but...

he only lost every tooth and returned to the front within two weeks of the incident.

He was serving in the New Zealand Army at the time as he had been in NZ when the war was declared.

El-Alamein was the major turning point of the war in North Africa. After that battle Britain and her Allies were able to keep pushing the Germans out of North Africa.

My granda's 2 brothers fought there as well. Camilla and Charles definitely seemed to be touched by what they saw esp. Camilla
