Someone, tell me what are Prince Charles and Camilla going to do with the yak? :ROFLMAO:

Prince Charles and his wife Camilla express thanks for their gift in the remote Karakoram mountain range. Charles and Camilla were presented with a yak by villagers on the last day of their trip to Pakistan.

Well obviously they are going to start a herd, to use the milk to make Yak butter, cheese and omeletes! :ROFLMAO:

It will be interesting. Charles&Yak.Co

During this trip Camilla almost always wear white.

Omelettes? Yaks lay eggs?

Yes.

Does she wore those shoes again ?

Thank you to all, for sending links and pics from the last day of the visit of TRH in Pakistan.
I think the Royal Couple had a nice and successful trip.
I agree Hornsen, the pic where Charles takes Camillas´ hand, when they leave the plane is so cute. Our Prince is a real gentleman!
To see the loving and affectionate gestures of Charles&Camilla during their trip makes me smile a lot.:) I love it to see them so happy together!

They give milk, I once had yak cheese pizza, it was really good. yak cheese is very flavourful. (It was in Tibet)

I love the pictures from the last day. The scenery is beautiful, they both look like they are having a wonderful time.

Thank you everyone who posted pics of the Pakistan tour. They've been wonderful. I feel I was there with the royal couple.:flowers:

I'm a little disappointed I didn't get to vicariously enjoy the events where Camilla wore the Farah Leghari outfits though. I wonder if we're going to see pics of them?

It is a little known fact! :ROFLMAO: I thought he could make omelettes using the eggs from his hens at the bottom of the garden and a little of the Yak milk, or some of the cheese (made from the milk).

The yak looks so beautiful. I like the color of it. I used to see a yak when a visit a place near Tibet. But I am too afraid to touch it and how brave TRH are! thanks all for the coverage of the trip and I learnt some knowlegde about the country through reading these news.

I must say that the Duchess of Cornwall was incredably well dressed on this forreign visit. Well done Camilla!

What a stupid article! The guardion couldn't help itself and come up with such a nonesense! :bang: Made the visit 'irrelevant', honestly.:ermm:

On a happier note, the Duchess and the Prince of Wales both looked incredibely well during the visit. They are a great team.

I was wondering that too, Avalon. The answer is in the BBC article link that skydragon posted. :flowers:

They will not be bringing the yak back and it will be returned to the villagers as a gesture of goodwill.

Apparently C&C have some common sense along with a good sense of diplomacy and good will. Prince Frederik and Princess Mary were given a pair of Tasmanian devils from an Australian group when their first son was born and those Tasmanian devils caused quite the headache at the Danish wildlife organizations.

I thought that was a very strange gift. Tasmanian devils are irascible little beasties at the best of times.

OTOH, that yak would certainly have kept the grass under control at Highgrove. :ROFLMAO:

I think Camilla is a great asset to the Royal Family. She is so warm and friendly, and she and Charles really get on so well together. It must make the stress of always being on show on these tours, with all the media ready to jump (showing an ankle - for heaven's sake!!), that much more bearable to share it with a loving companion. Well done, the pair of them.

I thought it strange too Roslyn. But I've never been a fan of giving people a pet as a surprise gift anyway even if its just a dog or cat.

I'm sure the Fred and Mary didn't want to offend the group by refusing the Tasmanian devils and that was very kind of them but I think C&C came up with a much more practical and yet gracious response to an unexpected gift.

Duchess Camilla is looks great dress and smile!!!

Gifts for Charles fascinate UK

Unusual gifts presented to Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall by commoners during their recent visit to Pakistan have generated a lot of interest in the UK and their details are being discussed here.
