Camilla's baby granddaughter Eliza makes public debut
not sure if this has been posted yet. apologies if it has.

i find it annoying that they refer to charles as her grandfather. just like they refered to him as a widower.

To constantly refer to him as the step grandpapa would annoy a lot of people who firmly support the idea of a family unit.

I think I'm missing what you're getting at here.

Two family units merged to form a new, broader based family unit, and within that larger and apparently homogenous family unit, he is the step grandpapa of his wife's grandchildren. He is not their grandpapa, and I would think that to call him their grandpapa would really annoy the real grandpapa, and picky people like me.

My point is that most families do not differentiate. IME, grandparents are just that, not step grandparent or grandparent. Recently a friends daughter was in the local paper, where it mentioned that she was the granddaughter of X. They only mentioned one grandparent, (because he is better known), he also happens to be a step grandparent.

Were her 'real' grandparents upset, (any of them), not at all, as my friend said 'You would have to be pretty neurotic to worry about such minor matters'.

Wednesday at 12.20 am the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will greet the French president Nicolas Sarkozy and his wife at Heathrow Airport.

( In the evening there will be a state banquet at Windsor Castle, so we can hope to see pics of Camilla wearing a tiara again.)

I've removed a few off-topic posts, and a longer discussion about the posting of off-topic comments.

While off-topic posting isn't encouraged, we realise that the doings of Charles and Camilla are relevant to people's lives and members will want to share their own experiences. As long as these asides are fairly short and don't derail the threads, we're more relaxed about them.

thanks,
Warren

Does anyone know yet what tiara Camilla wore at tonight's dinner?

There was no reciprocal dinner on the French State Visit. So unless there was some other formal event, I don't believe Camilla will be wearing a tiara tonight.

Mea culpa!!
Always a day late and a dollar short!

The fabulous dinner was on March 26.

Anyway, Camilla's tiara looks like one of the Queen Mum's??

Camilla looks so radiant in that cream coloured gown...and just dripping in diamonds...however, she earned every carat!

Could we get some photos of the dinner? I would love to see Camilla in all her glory.
