Having watched a lot of footage of CP Fredrik and CP Mary, I suddenly realised what was missing in Prince Charles life. Plain ordinary old 'happiness', or more especially joy! And Camilla provides it.:)

He seems like a whole new person, or Camilla has enabled him to loosen up, relax, and look like he actually might get a life of his own, with someone special of his own.

They are both figuratively letting their hair down and we are along for the ride. I personally am enjoying having my preconceptions about Camilla squashed, and my opinion of Charles dramatically revised.

This really is the 'Noughties" (2000+), a whole new millenium and a whole new CP Family.

He really does seem happy. I remember reading somewhere the Diana was just right for us, but not for Charles. Do not get me wrong, I still miss Diana. I think that if Charles is happy, he will be able to do a better job.

But I think Camilla is also just right for the country. For her short time as royal she became patron or president of many trusts or things like that. She is working with her heart and people feel that. Almost everyone likes her after meeting her. Same was with Diana. When time goes by no one will say: She doesn`t have to be our Queen.

Camilla has proven herself to be a worthy consort to the future King and is clearly a special woman with a lot of strength and warmth. She continues to carry out her duties with grace and people are responding to her.

There's no question in my mind that she will become Queen Consort and be crowned as such at Charles' coronation.

I totally agree with branchg. Camilla seems so warm and kind and she has really proven herself! I like her, a lot :)

Camilla has come a long way since her marriage and I think she definitely deserves all the praise and admiration she is receiving. She makes Charles happier and I think everyone can see it and this in turns makes them warm to her. Personally I think Charles and Camilla go really well together and compliment each other perfectly

As I have posted before, I was definitely not a Camilla fan. But I have grown to admire her very much. She makes the Prince quite happy, and she is quite happy. I am so glad that I was wrong in my opinion of her.

This thread is not to be used to rehash Charles/Diana/Camilla. Enough threads in the British Forums have been derailed, and the subject has been done to death elsewhere.
Off-topic posts have been removed.

Default duchess of cornwall and prince charles

I have seen a change in the Prince of Wales for the better since his marriage to the Duchess of Cornwall. However I cannot imagine her as queen. Maybe leave her as Princess Consort.
Camilla even though she is a nice person and is being welcomed by many little by little, she should let the 2 princes Wills and Harry make thier own decisions about their girlfriends and not be jealous of those young ladies.

Er, what exactly makes you think that Camilla is jealous of Wills and Harry's girlfirends? As long as I know she never mixed with their personal lives!

Regardless of the circumstances surrounding the issues with Diana, I still believe that Charles and Camilla both behaved with a lack of dignity. They both made irresponsible choices that affected others and motivated by their own desires. Are those choices/behaviors unforgivable? Not likely. Based on how she conducts herself as Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla seems to fit into the traditional royal mold well.

The one problem I have with C&C and QEII is that they had to pursue means to circumvent Charles's responsibilities as the future king and keeper of the faith by marrying in a civil ceremony since both divorcees couldn't marry in the church. It seems somewhat lame.

I don't know them so I can't judge them as people. I can only judge their actions. But I have to admit that I am part of the camp that hopes that QEII outlives her eldest son.

Yeah! It is indeed lame when you remember that the whole Church of England was founded on the ground of adultery Henry VIII was very nice guy in terms of divorce

I am certain that she has been a good friend to William and Harry and will continue to be a 'wonderful' step-mum. I don't think any of us have seen any evidence that Camilla is jealous of their girlfriends, what makes you think that she is??

Camilla always has plenty of self-confidenc, and I don't think she will be jealous of some other ladies. Even she is not beautiful but she makes up in character.
Charles being King and Camilla being King? Time will tell, but I hope that Prince Charles can succeed the throne one day because I believe that he will be a good king and he will do more benefits to his country and his people.

Well I've never really paid any attention to Charles, even when he was married to Diana, she was the one in the spotlight (atleast in the states) Charles kind of took a backseat as far as publicity goes. Camila seems submissive and doesn't mind taking a bakseat, which I believe Charles likes. Camila Made a transition from being his *&^# to his wife.
I don't know how long the mariage will last, but i wouldn't be suprised if it ended.

If you are looking at C+C you will be sure this marriage is happy and will go on. Obviosly they are very fonded and trusty to each other. And they are having fun. Only look at last pictures from Cheltenham. But I must say, I´m only interested in C+C since their wonderful wedding. Their happiness just hunted me. Before the Royals not really touched me.

Why would you say their marriage would end?

It's sad to me that Charles wasn't able (intestinal fortitude, or inability to conquer the "powers that be") to marry Camilla in the first place. I think he would have had a happier life...and so would have Diana and everyone else involved.
