Those were my thoughts as well, Jo. Ah well, at least they're more likely than what M al F claimed.

Mr. Fayed is at it again surprise surprise
Mohamed Al-fayed funds film about the royals - Times Online
Quote:
|
Despite his earlier conspiracy theories, Fayed said afterwards that he accepted the verdict, but the new film depicts the inquest as a fix.
|
Now this I want to see only because I'd LOVE to see exactly what he's going to come up with to prove the inquest was a cover up. I mean if I wanted to I could come up with an outline of how a possible murder could have occurred but that would mean everyone was payed off/warned in advance and everything we know up to this day is all false.

Thank you for the link ghost_night554, although it does not surprise me. Fayed seems to be a vindictive man, now even involving Diana's son in his allegations. If security at the Ritz had been allowed to do their job properly, the accident might never have happened, come to that if Diana had not become involved with the Fayeds to start with.......

Come on, the duke of Edinburgh actively faught against the Nazis - is it his fault that his sisters married men of the right bloodline but the wrong political opinion? Is the queen responisble that her uncle was a fascist? Thinking so is doing the same what the Nazis infamously did: "Sippenhaft" - making people responsible for the wrong doings of their relatives.
The film will probably bring only one result, if it is ever shown in Britain: make more people doubt Diana's ability to judge people with whom she socialised.
But maybe this time Fayed goes too far and will give the British authority reasons to throw him out of the country.

Seriously Jo, we allow terrorist to wander the streets, we pay murderers vast sums of money because we have infringed their human rights by not allowing them to vote, etc, are the British government likely to find the backbone to repatriate someone they are able to earn millions from and who might say Boo to the Goose?
Unless he moves of his own accord, I fear we are stuck with him!

Yes, and assuming that he pays his taxes, think of what he's adding to the nation's coffers!

Oh I hate to be naughty and sound like Sharon Stone yet it really sounds like Karma has found him.
Diana's interview and Michael Jackson's interview both "did them in" so to speak. So in some odd way, I suspected he might have had some bad luck rub off on him.
God bless him and may he find quick and adequate treatment. My second husband died of a brain tumor in 2000.

What a skuzz-bucket Burrell is! Does it trouble him that she's been worth more to him deceased than alive??

He'll get his come-uppance. Sooner or later, it's going to happen.

I loved his dedication, the first book was endearing, the cookery books were too chatty, the lecture series on land and sea was pushing it, the dinner plates and tea pots were tacky, the wine was silly, the furniture was way over the line and this jewelry is beyond good taste.
Sad thing is it is not over yet...more to come....
Mark my word the next item up for sale will either be loo papers with Di's crest or lingerie intended for luring back straying husbands.
The man is mad.

What planet is this person on? Diana's taste was superior to anything he is trying to sell using her name.

At the Diana inquest in January, Burrell claimed the princess didn’t like the diamond and sapphire engagement ring given to her by Prince Charles. He said: “She felt it was a little too big and gaudy

.That's strange, he is the only one that doesn't remember that she picked it herself! Perhaps he should have called it his 'Iffy' range.

It's the same argument as the paparazzi selling intrusive pics to the magazines...the public bought the magazines, the paps sold their pics for high prices, so who's responsible?
Supply and demand is the name of the game, and with his new line in Diana spin-offs Burrell, probably otherwise unemployable, is the supplier. Will people buy? Depressingly, yes.

Take a look at the pictures of the jewels, that's not something that Diana would have worn. It's tacky and tasteless.

Well yes, but that's beside the point. It's "Diana cachet" that Burrell is marketing here, and good taste doesn't come into it. If it did, he wouldn't be doing it.
