A Sister for William and Harry?

Diana revealed in the Secret Tapes that Prince Charles had wanted to have a girl after William was born, and was disappointed when she had Harry.

Anyone else heard this?

I read that too. Diana apparently knew it would be a boy from the ultra sound scan, but knowing how much Charles wanted a girl, she concealed that information. I don't know how she could manage that or why she wanted to.

But Charles was happy with Harry. I think his comment about the "rusty hair" was just supposed to be a joke and Diana took it the wrong way. He wanted Albert to be the first name, just like he wanted William's first name to be Arthur. so they compromised, and Diana chose the first names and then Charles picked the middle names.

I think Charles did very much want to have a girl, and to name her Victoria. I don't remember the source for this rumor but I remember reading it somewhere.

Charles was disappointed about next boy who has red hair. Maybe he wouldn't be disappointed about the girl with red hair?

Even if Charles wanted a girl, its obvious to all that he loves Harry deeply. He may have had a moment of initial sadness about it, but I'm sure he got over it quickly.

It would've been sad had Diana had a girl...I mean a girl losing her mother the way it happened is harsh. Although it also would've been interesting to see the personality...

Does anyone have a link to go to for the letter Diana had written to her butler about her fear of a plot to kill her? I just saw it on T.V. and they said it was part of the inquest and just released. Thanks. By the way, it is very strange that Prince Charles would have wanted a daughter. I thought royal families want sons as heirs to the throne. Doesnt make sense. Hmmm.

Oh, no. I wasn't implying that Charles loves Harry any less than William, I just wondered if I was the only one who was curious about what Diana had said.

I heard that story also about Charles wanting a girl. The rusty hair comment - the version I read was that Charles was telling the Queen, Harry had rusty hair
but when Diana told the story she neglected to mention that part of it.

They already had a male heir in William so I can well understand any possible desire Charles may have had in wanting to have fathered a daughter.

I also read that Charles had wanted a girl and was disappointed that Harry wasn't a girl. I would imagine that Diana would have wanted a girl as well! As it turned out, our Harry is one handsome young man!! It Would be wonderful to see their daughter though, wouldn't it? For certain she would be a beauty, regal and truly royal-looking, IMO.

Now with the Duchess lovely children, charles has a daughter and daughter-in-law and the princes have sisters, i'm sure it's been a pleasure for all of them to find out what girls bring to a family- now with the grandchildren, i hope they have a very close and happy intimate family life.

I'd be very surprised if William or Harry consider Camilla's daughter, their sister. The term, 'step sister' doesn't necessarily promote sibling affiliations and given they are already well into their respective twenties, I can't imagine either of them feeling anything other than an agreeable and friendly fondness towards Laura.

Look the way he smitten with Beatrice and Eugenie when they were small mostly Beatrice i remember banding over to kiss her checks ohh HArry is to sweet and strong man but been interesting what Di and Charles's little girl turn to be Like dress like radiant or any normal young woman sexy clothes that gives charles more hair out hahha and dating.
