What is it she got around her head
I think it represents one of the princess warriors popular in comic books for the younger teenage girls. It also might remind of Sailer Moon. Thank goodness Diana's fashion sense greatly improved from this time.

I LIKE THE DRESS THE JEWELERY.. THE TIARA... HER FACE CHANGE ALOT THREW THE YEAR.. SHE WAS SO PRETTY BEFORE SHE GOT MARRIED AND THE FEW YEARS IN TO... AND RIGHT BEFORE SHE DIED SHE STARTED TO LOOK BETTER AGAIN.....

she was perfect for a rotal visit!

Funny how Diana worn so many black and white outfits to Japan and they were only there for 5 days.
There was that white jacket with black collars & black pleated skirt & flying saucer hat that she worn in Washington and many many many other times.
the that black/navy & white suit with the center being white. then the white coatdress with the flounced black collar (first worn Austria April '86).
Kinda interesting!!!

The kimono is very beautiful, very ornate.

Was the puropse of the visit to promote good relation between Japan and Great Britain?
