^Yeah, good eye! It's the event ID with a "mugshot" of her and her name. I wonder if it's a pic she took for this or if she just used her drivers' license pic for it. They can do that sometimes. They just copy your dl pic and put it on the tag. That's funny. I love these minor, random, stupid details.

Thank you so much for the pics! I just wanted to throw out another trivial detail.Charlotte's jacket says "Barclays Wealth." It also says that on her horse's saddle blanket. This must be her sponsor.

The lady is photographer Vanessa von Zitzewitz. She competed in the 1*'s and represented Monaco. Only she and Char were there for Monaco.
These people like Vanesa and Hingis, were they there as "celebrity" riders? They aren't regulars are they?

Charlotte looks beautiful, as usual. She is a clone of her mother. It's good that we can see her much more time in the equestian world.

She looks great as always but it looks like she dyed her hair jet black, especially in that second pic horseygal posted. Her hair wasn't that dark before. It was almost auburn, now it's either really dark brown or black.

Maybe during the summer mos her hair lightens because she is out in the sun more...and during the non summer months it darkens?
I always thought Charlotte had a dark chestnut color to her hair.

On a side note, and this has probably already been posted before, but does anyone know what breed Tintero and Turbo are?

Martina Higgins has many times said that when she was a child she had a passion for horses, but her mother who had always managed her career for the profit has obliged her to stop riding and to put all her attention to tennis, because she detected taht this orientation would be more rewarding. For Martina it has always been a sorrow, and she said that ONE day she will come back to horses. I'm happy for her.
As regards Charlotte, I'm happy that she went back to her real passion, but i'm wondering all these years she stopped compeeting did not put her in delay?? I mean when you are a swimmer and you stop, you can not really have back your previous level.
Question for riding specialists... Thanks.

And as the saying goes:The details make the difference, CasiraghiTrio
What's the difference between the red riding outfit from he blue that Char is wearing?

Martina is doing very well this morning. In the 1m15 jump she got third place.
Azure, when does Charlotte wear red?

No, she didn't! But a rider was wearing red, who had fallen from her horse. I mean, is there any difference to wear either red or blue ?
I don't think she dyed her hair Nathalie Cox. It may be the lighting that makes it seem darker. But who knows!

In the first picture, her horse (GI Joe?) appears to be balking and possibly refusing to take a jump (she'll earn penalty faults for that type of refusal) I guess the only way to know is if there is video footage showing what happened...

She seems to be doing much better with Tintero at 1.25 m, first 7th and now an 11th verses the results with GI Joe. Maybe its time to move up.

I don't think there is a difference except personal preference. I know the riders buy their own gear and uniforms, and sometimes the jacket is made with the logo of a sponsor, like Athina used to wear the EH logo for European Horses (Thierry Roussel's breeding company) and Char used to have the M logo for Chez Marionnaud. But I don't think the color has any special significance. Martina wore the red jacket, right?

You are right. She has definitely been set back a bit. She has had to start over with the little jumps. In 2004, her last year before the hiatus, she was doing 1m35 jumps but now she is set back to doing 1m15-25 jumps.
