Or a certain Charlotte Casiraghi

Go Charlotte! So, she is using the white horse we saw her with in the first place, after GI Joe?

Rerehh, I don't think that the pic is new, it's from this summer.
I've seen the same site you've found that pic at, but the article
around it was written a few days earlier. You can also see that
she rides another horse and it's been outside in the summer sunshine

The Gucci equestrian Masters in Paris this week will include a 1* category in which Charlotte will participate. She is listed as a participant on the official website, for Monaco, and to ride two new horses, "Troy" and "Tintero". Charlotte will be competing Thursday.

So far no bigger pics, and as I don't know how long the rex link
will be available, I've made a little montage of some of the pics:

I'm sorry if this was posted already but I haven't seen it here. Here are pics from Pure People of Charlotte at the Bois le Roi event.

Charlotte Casiraghi : Une somptueuse cavalière qui se rit... des obstacles !

In two days, the Gucci Masters will begin. See guccimasters.com. Charlotte is listed to compete in the 1* rounds. Athina will be in the 2* and Doda in 5*. It's great to see her out there jumping again. I know she's an amateur. You know, I think she'd be a lot better if she did it full time. But she's got so much on her plate, it seems like. If she was just doing this, concentrating on practicing everyday, like Athina and Doda, she'd probably move up to a serious level. But she wants to do a lot of things.

I think it's great that she wants to keep her skills up, but is probably never looking to go pro. I am not sure if women like Valenteen or Athina went to college, but studies and internships take up a lot of time, therefore not leaving a lot of time to perfect riding skills. If they didn't go, then they seem to have dedicated a lot of time to riding - therefore, are in the upper skill level of competition. Also, some people just have a natural affinity for certain things (sports, dance, analytical things, etc) - as good as Charlotte is, perhaps she's never going to be as good as the other two women no matter how much training she has - and, I do not mean that in a negative way, just the reality. As much as I love riding, I could NEVER compete in their league or against Zara Phillips, or anything.....never going to happen!!

Oh my god, Zara Philipps is great. I just watched the other day in youtube a cross country she did...wow.
But I agree, Charlotte might be taking this a little more serious, but I don't think she is going to go pro.
Anyway, i'm waiting to see more pics of her riding.

I agree Zara Phillips is very good at riding. But I think if Charlotte really wanted to she could go pro with proper training and all. I'm sure it's alot of hard work and long hours though. You have to be really dedicated.

If what you mean is that Federico Fernández Senderos sold Tintero to Charlotte because at 10 years old he already knew what its level was, and was alreagy old to have hopes of improvement, I agree with you.
Wealthy amateurs, like Charlotte, often buy horses around that age that the top riders have discarded because although they are very good, they are not the top horse they are wainting for. Of course at 10 years old you already know what to expect from a horse, and Tintero may not have the level to win the Grand Prix at a global champions tour (that's the level his former rider was competing in) but is still an amazing horse for an amateur.

Of course a 10 or 12 year old is a mature horse in the sense that you already know what to expect from him. It's not a project full of hopes like a young horse of 6 or 7. What I meant is that an 8 year old is young for top level competition in the sense that his best years are still to come, and he has't yet peaked as he will between say, 11 and 13. Most horses at 8 haven't started to show the best of themselves.
Of course top horses are so expensive that a lot riders try to sell them just before they start their downway hill, in order to get a good prize for them. A top rider won't buy his "next top horse" at 12, of course, that's old to buy a top horse. But it doesn't mean the horse is old for competition since his best years are yet to come.
And I was not trying to make the horse I ride pass for younger than he is, I swear, since my very own horse (I ride several others) is only 7!

Charlotte's purchase seems very reasonable to me. She's bought a horse who jumped the Grand Prix at top level international competitions. It must have been really expensive. But she's got the money! If she's a little bit talented a horse like this should allow her to have very good results at 1.30 amateur competitions.
Hey, trep, thank you for this info.! Tintero is the awesome white horse, right? And I think the bay is Turbo?

I hope we get some great pictures from the Paris jumping!

The horses, the events:
List, 1, 2
Source: Jumpingvideo.com

It's not a complete list obviously. Aber Hallo isn't on there. Nor Tintero. But they list the ones where there is a video to purchase. Has anyone bought a video of Char from there?

The division that she competes in the the Low Junior/Amateur division. While some may speculate about her riding for Monaco at the next Olympic games, she's not competing at anywhere near that height. The Olympic division is 1.65M.
