i dont know good italian but does she have an accent. maby a fluent in italian will know?

:previous: Standard Northern Italian accent.

Is it just me or did Pierre look like Harry Potter when he was younger. He's still cute but I'll forever think of him as the kid who looks like Potter.

Yes! He did look like a blonde Harry Potter. He was so adorable. Who would've guessed that cute little four-eyed kid would've grown up to be the hottest of the trio? And a major player at that. ;)

Oh, and I say 'four-eyed' with love. I am too when I don't have in my contacts lol.

I found a more recent picture of Valentine Pozzo Di Borgo <here> just make sure to scroll down, its on 2nd to the last row of the pictures from the party. She looks pretty even with little or no make-up at all.

Charlotte and Valentine used to be really best friends but we haven't seen them together for a long time, they've gone separate ways.

yeah, I don't know if anything happened between them but they were so adorable together! I remember pics of them at a football match (I think?) with Valentine in that flamboyant hat and Charlotte was lying her head on her shoulder. So cute. And pierre seemed to have a bit of a crush on Valentine as well.:whistling:

^Oh I have always thought that Pierre had a little crush on her! They would have been a cute couple. Oh well...

Oh, i thought that Valentine had a crush on Pierre

Brava!
Beatrice shows herself as an intelligent woman, with a strong character! She is obviously much more than a pretty face :)
Nice to see her speaking out against that pathetic Berlusconi clown.

There is a strong chance Pierre and Beatrice speak italian with each other. Since Pierre is studying in Milan he must be fluent in italian.

The casiraghis 1st language is french, though. They probably studied italian to be closer to their roots, but they were too young when their father died to have learned (and specially to remember) how to speak it from him.

I was under the impression Caroline spoke Italian. And I think the Casiraghis must have at least learned a little Italian being so close to their paternal grandmother.

Also, I recently heard Stefano speak in an interview and he didn't sound like a fluent English speaker. I don't know if he spoke French, somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, but from that interview I gathered that he and Caroline probably spoke Italian together.

I believe that all the Casiraghis are fluent in Italian. They still see their many Casiraghi relatives fairly often so I'm sure they use the language while they are there. I also seem to recall reading somewhere that Caroline wanted to make sure her children knew how to speak Italian, and make sure that they were close to their father's side of the family so that they would always have that connection to their father. I could be wrong, but I believe I read that somewhere.

you are right, i remember reading about it in a VANIDADES magazines

I just read this entire thread...well about 93% and I was amazed at how many times Valentine came out. Like every two, three pages she was mentioned. She's definitely the most popular of the Casiraghi friends:whistling:. I like Juliette though the best of their current friends. She seems friendly. I could be wrong, but she appears the most approachable out of the bunch.

my fovourite charlotte friends is harry scrymgeour!he's very handsome love his i read that now eloise and harry not togther now !!!!!!!!

^^ Really? they are not together anymore? what happened?

Nooooooo Eloise & Harry are still married. There was a misunderstanding, some confusion recently when Charlotte & HArry were spotted together @ a cafe in Paris. But it is for nought. Eloise & Harry are solidly married. :D

I take my hat off to her, a very good interview, including a question about the money Roberto Saviano is making. The photos are also stunning.
Let's hope she is not targeted by anyone from the three mafias.

Many thanks to Rima for getting us the link to Above Magazine, something I will read regularly from now on.

One of the sentences that made me shiver: "All English computer waste is handled by the Camorra and sent on to Africa...."

i dont get all hyped about beatric but after seeing more of interviews shes realy grows on me more and more :). all i hear in u.s. about italy is glamours and history/culture nothing like this whole different realitys. excelent interview, thanks for posting.

Let's hope she is not targeted by anyone from the three mafias.

:ROFLMAO:LOL! Why should the mafias target her? A young Miss Know-it-all, who is exceptionally contradictory: she declares herself to be a communist, then she's happily shacking up with one of the world's richest young man, the son of a Hereditary Princess. She play the moralist about the Italian Prime Minister when she's born out of the wedlock (which prevents her from being a "Countess"), and her father divided himself between his wife and Beatrice's mother: see post. Her granmother cheated her husband with a painter for 20 years. Her husband filed for divorced when their affair became common knowledge...
Besides Beatrice lived with a man nearly 20 years her senior for some years. I can't recall if she still was of age back then. I hope so!
Talk about morality!

In Italy nobody cares about her, so she's gone blabbing to the foreign press.
If she's that smart and a communist that cares for Africa, why doesn't she accompany Caroline in her charity travels? Or goes to work with an organization in order to help the African children, instead of cruising the Mediterranean on Caroline's yacht? If I'm correct in a interview she stated that Monte Carlo sucks. Why is she still hanging around the Grimaldis?
She'a sly one. She loves being in the limelight. Do you know what she is dubbed by the Italian media, including her left wing friends? Beatroce = Beatrocious.

You read my mind Tosca ;),I'm totally agree.

Interesting outlook on Beatrice...I've noticed that those from Italy aren't as enthusiastic about her as those of us who aren't. Admittedly she's pretty, she and Pierre are a beautiful couple, both of them from well-known, aristocratic, well-connected families so it seems like a dream match. Maybe she'll find herself, eventually, and start practicing what she preaches. She's still young. That might sound like a convenient excuse but I go to a university wherein students can't seem to stop protesting about all sorts of issues like consumerism, consider themselves communists but then rush to the nearest Starbucks after a grueling day of street protests, so maybe that's why I'm tolerant. LOL.

I can't argue with any of your points EXCEPT the morality point, because the objections you cite involve other people who are not Beatrice. Beatrice cannot help that her parents weren't married when she was born. This fact, therefore, says nothing about her morality. Then you cite something about her grandmother, again, not about Beatrice. Your objections involve her parents and grandmother, but how can their actions speak about Beatrice?

I'm not arguing with you, however. Even if she is a person with some socialist or leftist theories, she probably shouldn't go around calling herself an outright communist. Perhaps she would be wiser to say that she has a few leftist points of view. Some of my own political beliefs are leftist, even socialist, but I am not a Socialist or communist by definition. This seems to be the case with Beatrice, but I don't know.

In 2009 can anybody try a young girl for her political opinions ? It's a shame, Pierre and Beatrice are surrounded by envy.
