Catherine wasn't representing William, not officially I mean. There was only "silly article" published in news paper..We can say that she was representing the couple by her presence but definitly not "prince William" because it was a private wedding and a family event not an offical event ....That 's just what I think...
Moreover Charles is the Heir apparent and William is the second in line not more not less....

And Camilla is not a Roman Catholic.

Chrissy57, you are as usual perfectly correct. Nice to see you back.

Well, I'm not really sure, now that you raise it. I'm used to reading Down Here of Charles being Heir Presumptive and William, Heir Apparent, i.e. we presume that Charles is next in line and apparently, William will succeed him.

there has been some discussion about the level of coverage that Kate (and Chelsy) got form Hello during the Phillips wedding yet OK magazine received the exclusive rights to the Henry van Staubenze chraity fundraising event and had Kate and William on their cover with some caption syaing something along the lines of OK parties with the Royals and inside there were a number of pictures of Kate and William with other guests as well as Prince Harry and Princess Beatrice with Dave Clarke ... so Kate appearing in an exclusive photo shoot is not something new

No reports on his whereabouts that I have found. I kinda, sorta, think perhaps, maybe, he went to Mustique after leaving Kenya and Kate slipped away to the same locale after the Phillips wedding. Of course that is my opinion only, no facts involved! Kate keeps such a low profile it's hard to know where she is or what she's up to, which is a very good thing IMHO.

Then again the last time Harry dropped off the radar he was in Afghanistan so who the heck knows!

My thoughts are along that line as well. If they were simply on vacation together, I think that the press might have caught up with them as well.

This is the first and only report I've seen. If it's true we guessed correctly. My, aren't we good!

Those rumors have been runnng rampant for what seems like forever. Jaded lady that I am becoming, I think I'll refrain from holding my breath until the engagement is announced. I might turn blue, pass out and start breathing again!

There was an article about her being called Katherine two years ago before the broke-up. To be honest I am sick and tired of speculation, my Lord whatever happens, happens. Period!

I did always think there would be an announcement early next year with a summer wedding in 2008. But who's to say they won't have a late autumn/winter wedding like the Queen. Maybe watching the documentry on the Queens Wedding last night on More 4 has made me think that is possible.

The article in The People made me like he would propose with a ring where people could see. She wouldn't be able to wear a ring immediately like normal people - not until an announcement.

I still have a bad feeling about them, like something will turn the other way.

What absolute Rubbish! This thread is for current EVENTS, not current speculation. For all you know William proposed ages ago. As for the Catherine business, slow news day. I hear she uses Middleton for a last name these days too.

You mean you expect William to marry before he gets engaged? (I think you meant 2009!)

The papers are going to go on and on about William's imminent engagement to Kate (Catherine?!) until it actually happens, at which point they'll start speculating about problems in their relationship and marriage.

Is it just me or do you think Kate is getting a little big-headed on the name thing?

Big-headed It's her name, what on earth is wrong with her wanting to be called by it? Where did 'Kate' come from anyway, perhaps she has always gone by Catherine and just the press call her Kate.
