Well, this made me feel humble "It will be nice to take the leg off and give that a bit of a breather."

Lovely article - a bit about what a bloke Harry is and then a lot about Major Kate Philip, the trek and the team.

How long His Royal Highness will stay on South Pole?
From what I've read, the trek is going to take 16 days. I really admire Harry for not only backing WWTW but being such an active part of it. I don't think there is a pretentious bone in Harry's body and he's just so open that people instantly like this guy.

I have a feeling that Harry will stay with the military for quite a bit longer. As a child, one of his favorite past times was playing soldier with his brother and he has a natural aptitude for what he does. I kind of equate his military service with doing as much for his Sovereign as if he was doing daily royal duties. The time will come soon enough in the future as the Family goes through generational changes. I feel I can honestly say that when the time comes and William is King, he's going to have one hell of a right hand man in his brother.

If I'm not mistaken, Andrew spent about 20 years in active service with the Navy. Like his father, Andrew will always be considered a Navy man.

We simply do not know and my crystal ball is fuzzy most days. Perhaps should Harry find "the One" and want to marry and settle down and raise a family, he would want to focus on that more than a military career. We just get the pleasure of watching and seeing what happens next.

Definitely the military will always be something close to Harry's heart and I would even go so far to say the same for William.

So, they're finally on their way? I haven't checked Twitter today due to being sick in bed most of the day thanks to a nasty cold. Awesome news and best of luck to them.

Which they'll need, as Team Commonwealth's going to win this thing!!

These are some awesome men and women that are undertaking this. It'll be interesting to watch it all and see which team reaches the pole first. In my book, they're all already winners but I'd love to see Harry's team get there first.

Prince Harry has finally arrived in Antarctica ahead of the charity trek involving wounded servicemen and women after the trip was delayed for 48 hours.
The group was forced to stay over in Cape Town this week as a storm in the south pole meant flights had to be cancelled.
This morning, Harry, a cluster of celebrities and 12 injured servicemen were given the all-clear and boarded a plane headed for Russia's Novolazarevskaya Station, which is situated at the edge of the Antarctic continent.
They were met by temperatures of around minus 3C - cooler than they enjoyed in South Africa - but will face icy lows of up to minus 45C and biting 50mph winds on the trek itself.
