The "right girl" for him is obviously Theodora of Greece. She is the right age and a fourth cousin (once removed ?), descending from both Queen Victoria of the UK, the last German Kaiser, and kings of Denmark and Sweden.
Still too closely related in my opinion.

This is the part of the article that caught my eye:

Harry certainly doesn’t give the impression of a prince searching with any great urgency for a consort. Like his father years ago, when sowing his wild oats he has developed a penchant for the company of older, more worldly women on whose discretion he can rely.

Yes, Queen Claude, I raised my eyebrows at that paragraph too. Does the DM know something we don't or is it just a sly dig at Camilla? You never know with the Daily Fail!

I have to say that such a development would surprise me. Ive never heard of Harry seeking out worldly, older, (presumably married) women as confidantes.

Quite the reverse, in fact, young, pretty carefree blondes have been his cup of tea! Perhaps time for a change, but no married ladies hanging about in the background, or foreground for that matter. Please!

Anyone else besides me notice that Kirstie is not only brave and cares deeply about those that served with her but is also very blond and very cute? :whistling:

Yes she is. Unfortunately for Harry she has a boyfriend back in the US.

Curses.... foiled again!

This thing to marry cousin 3rd, 4th degree for me it's arranged marriage and I doubt that Harry will accept this kind of marriage. He will marry whomever he chooses. I think Harry might have a thing for older women is very common, boys who lost their mother in childhood, to have attraction to older women, is psychological.

What makes you say that? His most public relationships have been with younger women.

what made me say, it was the article DM ... the fact that he only dating Young women do not mean anything, he can go out with older women without anyone knowing, I'm not talking about love but attraction

The DM isn't what I'd call a reliable news source so whatever they say... I'd take it with a pinch of salt. I think I'll wait for proof first.

I wouldn't rely too much on what the DM says either. I am sure Camilla, as a stepmother, would want to see her her step-son happy, but I just can't imagine her actively getting involved, making suggestions as to who he could date etc. Harry seems to be very much his own man and if the right girl comes along he'll pursue her!

:previous: To be honest, I think every member of the family and not a few of his married friends has an eye out for possible "contenders" and I'd bet my last Cent that he has found himself "paired off" or escorting women he has never met or only seen in the periphery, into dinner or at weddings.

Where there are bachelors there are scheming friends and relatives and at every dinner, party, etc, is a potential Duchess. I would even venture to guess that even his Aunt has participated, although to be fair, she probably looked him straight in the eye and told him to get real and start looking!

On the plus side, at least he is well versed in "dinner conversation" and would have no trouble . . . "did you watch the Rugby World Cup final, weren't the AB's fanb*****tastic, and Richie and Dan . . . sheer dynamite . . . ?"  :nzflag: :D

:previous: Congratulations, Marg. The All Blacks were the better on the night and deserved to win. :flowers:

Which aunt? He has three. I doubt the Spencer aunts will interfere though.

Harry isn't under the pressure William was under to produce offspring, so he can wait till he finds someone that really suits him. I hope he does though, sooner rather than later, because he seems to want to marry and have children.

:previous: I'm guessing MARG is referring to his aunt, the Princess Royal. The way she described the said aunt's manner just fits Princess Anne to a tee :D.

Get to London, England, then, PHW. It's always best if you are in the same city!

I don't think Anne would even care about who Harry dated. Let alone try to match make. That seems like a totally Fergie thing.

ANYBODY, no matter who they are, would be well advised to read 'Emma', by the great writer Jane Austen, and take to heart its salutary lesson's.

NO good can come of trying to pair off individuals YOU think are suited... it is generally disastrous, and [when it goes 'pear-shaped'] YOU are, and [are rightly] held responsible.

Royal families have had arranged marriages for centuries and some of them were quite happy and successful.

Dear lord. There is a difference between pushing two people together and to think "Hey, this girl seem his type, maybe I should introduce them".

Not only arranged marriages in royalty but also within the aristocracy. It wasn't that long ago that the London Season started with Ascot and then there were rounds of parties and balls and teas. Commonly known then as the "marriage market" for suitable gels to meet well heeled bachelors. :D

:previous: I'm so with you about the beard. He looks like a lumberjack. All he's missing is a plaid flannel shirt, jeans, and boots. Then again, I prefer a clean-shaven look in general, so I'm biased. As to Ms. Bonds being ideal for Henry, I'll have to respectfully disagree. I think that Henry would benefit from stepping completely out of his social circle, and try to meet some people through his charities. He would benefit from finding a woman like Catherine, who is serious, well-educated and comes from a close-knit family that knows how to behave des retry when necessary.

I'm so into the beard. He hasn't looked this good in quite some time. But I will pick a lumberjack look over clean and cut every time.

I've probably watched too much Outlander and everything Scottish related, but I would love it if he got together with a Scottish woman.

Lol, tumblr and all the young people are going nuts over the beard. Vanity fair has written a piece on it etc. Beards are very "in" right now and Harry is no exeption!

He kind of has his great grandfather's thing going on with the beard. It makes him look ruggedly handsome.

I don't really associate Bertie or Prince Andrew of Greece with a beard. Are you referring to the 7th Earl of Spencer or the 4th Baron of Fermoy?

I know some of the past Earls of Spencer had impressive moustaches.

I have a feeling the original poster may have been referring to George V, who would be Henry's great-great-grandfather, or Edward VII, who would be his great-great--great-grandfather. Both kings sported beards, though O I won't consider Edward VII ruggedly handsome. Not so sure about George V either. He looked more dapper, especially in his younger days, and greatly resembled his cousin, Tsar Nikolai II of Russia.

It is a bit of a family tradition. Prince Michael of Kent is bearded. I've seen Charles and Andrew briefly sporting beards during their time in the Navy, also Prince Philip.
