On the flight from Perth to Sydney, the pilot of Prince Harry's plane diverted to Uluru/Ayers Rock and did a series of low-altitude loops over it and Kata Tjuta/The Olgas.

The Prince arrived at the Richmond Air-Force Base at 8.00pm local time last night.

(Now almost 7.30am Tuesday morning here in Sydney.)

P.S. Rain's gone - good weather expected for the time Prince Harry is here.

I hope that Harry enjoys his time in Sydney. He is certainly seeing a lot of our beautiful country and hopefully will have some great memories to take back home.

Prince Harry took a flight over Sydney Harbour in a Black Hawk helicopter just before lunch today.

(I snapped a few photos from my balcony - but the professional ones will be online somewhere soon.)

Pork roll with extra chilli for brekkie from the Wattle Bakers in Wattle Grove - a favourite with the close by military personnel.

All the ladies behind the counter laughing on TV tonight about it.

The Prince is stationed at Holsworthy Barracks for the rest of his week here in Sydney.

Disgusting! This secondment looks like an exclusive fun fare holiday for Henry paid by the Australian tax payer. Fuming!!

When I travel on business - I ask the locals about great local food. If they recommend a chili roll for breakfast and I can get past the place, I stop. It does not mean I'm not working. It means I tried the local food.

Seems shocking but even the members of the armed forces have lunch, sometimes ...

My husband is military (and not famous)...but yes folks they do sometimes like to stop and eat at the local places when traveling or stationed in a different location.

I guess I don't understand what the big deal is that he stopped for a 5.00 food item...doesn't really matter where he is or what his purpose is (military/personal/event for the BRF), he's gotta eat.

Maybe its just me but I would think if it was the Australian tax payer funding this "holiday" for Harry, seeing as all the publicity it is getting as Harry goes from place to place with his military chums, I would think it would work wonders for Australian recruitment into the armed forces.

The cheek! Wanting a snack! That settles it-he needs to cart around a personal chef and have food flown over. He has the money and He can eat on base.that way nothing is ever paid for by the locals or even really be seen by them and it can never be called a vacation.Of course all the publicity Harry brings and the upswing in local eatery buisness is gone. Let us see how you like them apples.

I guess they should have locked him in his barracks and passed him bread and water thru a slot in the door. Heaven forbid a member of the military leave their base/post to get something to eat other than army food. And for training, he should stay in the air space above the Australian base he is at. Guess that would make things better for you.

That's because it IS a fun holiday for Harry paid for by the Australian tax payer, though I imagine he's using his own money to pay for his meals including his $5 pork roll with chilli.

I reckon the MoD couldn't work out what to do with him for his last few weeks in the army so they decided to send him out to the Colonies for a holiday at our expense. IMO all these jaunts he's enjoying here serve no purpose other than to entertain him and his fans.

Looks like the public engagement/walkabout that Rob Jobson said on Sunday that Prince Harry would be doing before leaving Sydney, will be tomorrow - Thursday locally.

(Probably at the Opera House.)

P.S. Details have now been released for Prince Harry's day tomorrow.

First up is a military exercise on the Harbour, in the morning.

At 12.30pm local time, the NSW Premier will meet the Prince at the Man O' War Steps. (These are on the east side of the Opera House just near the Botanical Gardens.)

After greeting the general public, the Prince is off to see a British soldier who is out here in Oz getting specialist treatment, and learning to walk again, after losing both of his legs.

Some hints that there may be some sort of media interaction scheduled as well.

Another bright and sunny day in Sydney - blue sky, blue Harbour.

Prince Harry really lucked out with the weather for his time here.

He is due to take part in an anti-terrorist exercise on the water in a few hours - lots of zooming about in fast boats/rubber duckies I guess.

Both Channel 9 ad Channel 7 have announced they will be broadcasting live the Prince's time at the Opera House.

Will probably be online at some stage soon after.

Things are starting for Prince Harry's military exercise on Sydney Harbour.

It's just gone 11.00am here and two rubber duckies - the big, military types - just zipped around into Woolloomooloo Naval Base.

Helicopters have been hovering over the area, getting TV footage I guess.

Also buoys have been put in place around the headland there.

Woolloomooloo is just along the Harbour from the Royal Botanical Gardens and Opera House.

I'm off to lunch and will miss the action - though it may take place in other/various parts of the Harbour anyway, out of my view. (The Harbour is very "twisty" with lots of bays, inlets and headlands - not just one big bowl.)

I'm not sure lucymae88 when the Prince is due home. He is leaving Oz for NZ on Saturday, but some early reports, before he arrived here, had him going to Africa, and not the UK, after.

And P.S. - maybe Prince Harry didn't have that pork roll for breakfast the other day - sources now saying it wasn't him.
