They were competing in the annual JP Morgan around the island race.

J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race - RACE DAY

Quote:
The annual J.P. Morgan Asset Management Round the Island Race, organised by the Island Sailing Club, is a one-day yacht race around the Isle of Wight, an island situated off the south coast of England. The race regularly attracts over 1,700 boats and around 16,000 sailors, making it one of the largest yacht races in the world and the fourth largest participation sporting event in the UK after the London Marathon and the Great North and South Runs.
The race is a fundraising event

Quote:
The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust feels extremely privileged to be the official charity for the Round the Island Race for the next two years. We have seen first hand the positive effect sailing has on the young people and the official charity status will enable us to take 25 young people sailing in this year's Race. It's fantastic to be able to offer this experience - the looks on their faces when they see over 1,500 boats on the start line is incredible. The young people sailing are part of our 'Return to Sail' programme which helps us to build long term relationships with the young people we work with during the difficult period between finishing treatment and hopefully reaching remission. We are all looking forward to getting out on the start line.

If he really did say this he is only reiterating what most other soldiers are saying and feeling. That the the words are so tame makes me tend to think he did not.

The royals are extremely careful about not making political statements. And I highly doubt Harry's friends spoke to the 'Daily star'.

According to the German Press Harry attended the wedding, in Oettingen, Bavaria, of Prince Franz Albrecht of Oettingen-Spielberg and Baroness Cleopatra von Adelsheim on July 9th. There is a photo of him in the front row of the church in another forum, but I can't post it. It looks as if it was a very pretty wedding.

Harry flew under the radar as far as the British Press goes with this one. As far as I know neither the bride or groom are relatives of the BRF nor are the couple friends of his. Friends of friends perhaps....?

The groom is an hunter specialist. And is said that Harry was invited to hunts by the Princely Family.

The grooms younger sister, Nora, has been dating Max Percy, son of The Duke of Northumberland, for quite some time. I believe the Oettingen-Spielberg family is based in the UK. So its safe to say that Harry and the groom are part of the same social circle.

As far as I know, the family, at least the parents and it seems the groom (perhaps Nora lives in the UK) live in Bavaria. Harry and William know them as their estates in Germany are a top place to hunt wild boar, and have gone to hunts there. The groom and his parents attended the Cambridge wedding.

There are videos of the groom showing off his hunting skills

Max Percy and Nora. Been together at least 4 years, were dating in 2012 when Melissa got married.

The Oettingen-Spielberg Family is for sure not based in the UK. There as based in Oettingen where the Wedding took place where the Füst manages his Castles and estates. However their youngest daughter Pricness Nora seems to live in the UK.

According to the DM, (yes, I know) Harry carries a lot of 'emotional baggage' and is 'sensitive' about his mother's death. He and his brother have never discussed it fully in public for fear of hurting or upsetting their father and Camilla. (Perhaps there is a tiny grain of truth in that?) Also, Harry would get angry about it sometimes when he was younger, according to this article, because he felt his and William's grief was 'commandeered' by the public.

the writer has said in the past that he wanted a wife and dog but doesn't yet know how to achieve it.
described harry as a self pitying man with a habit to be tactless with women. I can't buy this new lie of his.

Richard Kay, Daily Mail Editor At Large, is obviously stuck for something royal to write about. Needless to say, I think he could give lessons in creative writing.

I'd go as far to extend that to read creative fictional writing.

Some people grab life by the horns and go at it with gusto. Some people are more reserved. Harry has more than his share of gusto and it shows in just about everything he does.

The more I read about how people and the media can take anything that Harry says or does and put their own slant on it, it makes me realize how good it is to be someone that just is part of the background noise. No one cares or thinks twice about what I think, do or say in my day to day life but Harry burps at the most inopportune moment and its picked apart for days.

I admire Harry for exactly who he is and if there is one thing I could take from him and apply to my own life, it would be the ability to give 150% of myself to whatever I choose to do.

Harry isn't the first royal to have his words or actions twisted. Every time a senior royal opens their mouth, people, depending on the agenda, will pick the words apart for days.

Harry only needs to look to his father, brother and sister in law.

And such is life in the royal fishbowl. We may seem to think that these royals are very privileged and seem to have it "all" but there's a lot of downsides to it all too.

According to this newspaper Harry will be among the guests at his cousin George's wedding this weekend. We'll see. George once looked quite like Harry when he was a young teen but no resemblance now!
