I thought it was important to post the article just because of this

Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice and her boyfriend Dave Clark, Harry’s friend Astrid Harbord and William’s chum Jamie Murray Wells are all expected at the party, where it is hoped they will raise £5,000.

Prince Harry’s aides are in secret discussions with Army brass over a rescue plan to parachute him out of his pilot training.

Prince Harry may not finish his pilot training at all, and his aides are already in discussions with the Army brass over a rescue plan.

I wonder why he got into this in the first place, I am sure he would have been more suited to the Navy but then he probably would really have had to cut down on his social life.
It will be interesting to see if these reports are true.

Harry showed an interest in the Army from the time he was a small child. Subsequent events have meant that he has been unable to function in the area he first trained for and the back-up plan was blown by the Press.

Everything since then seems to be focused on finding him a suitable niche, and his previous two experiences have shown that this is not going to be easy. I wish him luck/

Why do you say he would be more suited to the Navy?
I think the air force suits Harry all action and that.
It is a shame that he might not be able to finish his training after all he has put into it.

Doesn't Harry have some kind of learning problem? Perhaps it's dyslexia, like his cousin Beatrice.

I don't think he actually has a learning problem so much as just doesn't have the brains for academic learning.

Not everyone who struggles at school does so because of a learning problem. Most do so because they struggle with academic learning due to lack of ability.

Many students with learning difficulties overcome them with the right assistance, as Beatrice received.

Learning difficulties are things that are stopping the learning taking place to match the person's innate ability whereas there are people who simply don't have the ability.

We have always been told that he struggles academically and I am sure if there was an identified learning difficulty we would have been told, like we were with Beatrice.

Yes, there are different types of intelligence, too. I have a friend who has two Masters of Arts degrees but couldn't do navigation while in the Naval Reserves.

Math is needed for navigation. It might be useful for flying too.
That plus a natural aptitude, but didn´t he have trouble with the practical side too?
As I heard someone say about a friend of mine "he is a natural born heir, good for spending but not earning".

Definitely. Surely there are positions in the army that don't require navigation!

A DUNDEE-BORN broadcaster has been pipped by Prince Harry to become Britain’s most eligible bachelor. .
Radio and television personality George Lamb, 29, came second in the annual list of 50 bachelors chosen by a panel of celebrity judges for the women’s magazine Company.

"pipped at the post": beaten by a nose, edged out, narrowly beaten.

My first post! Only I haven't figured out how to post youtube videos here yet, or put up an avitar.

I was wondering if there were any pics from the Sentebale charity, too, or if he was really back together with Chelsey - guess we'll find that one out soon enough.

But when I was on YouTube and I typed in "Prince Harry", up popped this cute video of William and Harry - obviously it's been edited, but I thought people might like to see it.

Hope the link comes up alright.

ETA - hey, all I had to do was put up the link and the video comes up - that was easy.

I like the fact that he is increasing his abroad duties, and I understand america but I wish he wouldn't. Somewhere in the commonwealth would be nice.
