The whole situation is unfortunate, but I have to give her props for the way she's handled it. I think she's done well to take Paddy Harverson's advice to just smile when people take her picture. She's proven that she can be poised and graceful under pressure -- something that will help her tremendously if she and William do get married.

I agree aswell. I think that some people underestimate the pressures that must accompany her situation right now. She's handled it the only way she knows how, and it's inspiring.

Life is not what you do, but what you make of it. It is the same for everyone, even Kate. She has problems like all of us. How she deals with those problems is what matters. The problems themselves do not matter so much as how she copes. It is the same for everyone. How you cope makes the difference. She can cry and say, "this sucks" and hide herself forever. Or she can hold her head high and make the most of it. I also think she copes admirably.
I don't feel sorry for her though because I think there is nothing to feel sorry for. She is coping with her lot, like we all cope with our lots. It is no different.

I dont think the look is that dramatically changed. I'd say her hair is now a shade or two lighter and her eyebrows are now plucked. Other than that she looks the same to me.

She's a lot thinner in the face these days, her face is very fat in that photo.

That picture resembles some of the photos I've seen of her from around the time she started at St Andrews. I think part of it is just that major change in looks that happens for lots of people in their early and mid-twenties.
