So, I have this theory and it goes like this: if William had a mistress in the style of Diane de Poitiers or Madame Pompadour- a beautiful, fickle, fashionable, scandalous, dramatic woman very much like a young Princess Michael- he'd be a much happier, more interesting man (not to mention more satisfied with life). I'm talking about a truly interesting and dramatic woman people- like Marie Antoinette, only a more beautiful, more dramatic contemporary version. I think Isabella Gough Calthorpe (probably spelt wrong) would be an interesting choice. Do y'all have any nominees? Make sure you're not talking bride, but mistress material. We can't all be lucky and have two in one like good ole Prince Chucky there.

I would say Chelsy Davy just for the drama that would ensue.

why a mistress? doesn't a girlfriend serve that purpose

I really don't understand the point of finding a mistress for William. Could somebody clarify this? Like another girlfriend or a "play" mate? If it's for the latter I don't understand why people want William to take part in this kind of behavior. In my book having a mistress is not a desireable trait. If that's what it takes to make a person more exciting, I'd rather be boring.

It's a joke people... a joke. I'll repeat myself- a joke, a joke, a "j," followed by an "o," followed by a "k," followed by an "e." Some people, in some countries, at times, like to call it a funny. Others, humor. In some countries, no doubt, they use different combinations of often different letters to describe what is known in English as "a joke." It comes from the Old German "yokee," which means a nun who is not wearing a habit. Apparently that was quite funny to the Old Germans, so they associated "yokee" with something that is humorous. That said, would you like to continue the joke or let it die a horrible, mean-spirited, ignominious death?

Thank you, Segolen. I want to marry you, whether your male or female or both, and have children with you.

Ok, being way too dramatic here. Sorry! If I were to choose a mistress for William, I would just go all out and make it as dramatic as possible or choose somebody really pretty. I think Adriana Lima is really pretty and she is a lingerie model (a hint of scandal?)...perhaps she would make a great royal mistress.

What about her? I think she's pretty. Not realistic, but besides the point.

The kind of mistress he'd have would depend on the sort of wife he'd have. I believe that if he married a drama queen, he'd look for a very quiet and mousy woman to be his mistress and vice versa.

Kate Moss would definately stirr things up a bit, and she has a nice fashionsense if she tries.

well, Diane de Poitiers was somewhat older then her lover, the king of France. So was Louis XIV first mistress. Actually I would prefer him to get Catherine Deneuve, but that is to old indeed (though Princess Michael would definately approve :P)
The only american actresses with a good sense of style and enough coldness to fit in the Marie-Christine profile is Uma Thurman.

Why not Angelina Jolie? She is irresistable to most men!! and I am sure even a Prince & future King would love to brag about his relations with the stunning American beauty.lol. Only with his mates of course...

Keira Knightly!!!! Has shown that she looks great in period custom AND football dress. -> Could appeal those who like their royals to wear gala dresses and those who prefer sporty style.
