Doria's birthday is September 2 per public records.
I just read on another website that her DOB is September 22, 1956.
I see where you are going with this and while I understand your logic needless to say I disagree to some extent.
People (as clearly demonstrated here at TRF and in the tabloids) are always going to find fault with Meghan, Doria, Kate and the Middleton's cause that's just how some people are. So with that in mind, why shouldn't they attend some BRF events. Its the media and the public wh are making a big deal out of their attendance. They don't post their attendance on social media, they go about bragging it to their friends, they were low key clothes they are simply attending events that, honestly they wouldn't attend if their daughters didn't marry into the BRF. We only know who they are because of the fact that they the tabloids are making a big deal of it. I look at older pictures during the Sarah and Diana heydays and suddenly you see Jane Stephens or the Spencer girls. It happens in other royal families as well. We have seen Mary's and/or Maxima's families attend events. Why not here. So what's the big deal? Not to throw the thread off track, but does anyone remember Diana's sister, Sarah attending Diana's events as her Lady in Waiting?
It's Meghan's first solo event and it looks like (cause we still don't have confirmation) that her mother will be in attendance. Good for her!
Haha! Very funny. The bar has been set anyway. Bring your family to work day is now an official thing in the BRF.

Carol Middleton would have been slaughtered in the press if she attended a public engagement with Catherine. For the event today, I wouldn't call what Meghan was doing "work". She was participating and she was involved and she was part of the community. The "work" was all the things needed to be done to come up with this excellent finished product. As much as the women of the Hubb kitchen have family that support them, so does Meghan.
Its not surprising in the least to me that royal in-laws are being more inclusive into things like the reception today, Ascot, family weddings, holidays etc. The days of the British royal family and their "exclusive" royal family members only events are pretty much over with the exception of celebrations that represent the monarchy such as Trooping the Color.
