What is so odd about a mother holding a baby? Should they have passed the child back and forth between mother and father like a game of hot potato? I would not expect a bunch of still pictures to reflect family dynamics between each and every member of the family, that really would have been odd. It seems obvious to me that before Marie had children the only people in the photos would have been Marie, Joachim and his 2 sons. Now that there are 4 children it seems just as obvious that family groupings for photos would be different, especially when one of those children is a baby. They do seem to have a good family dynamic from what little I have seen of them.

Athena is such a precious kid! Those pink cheeks are adorable, I have a feeling that she will be even prettier than her cousin Isabella! I also love that Marie is showing more affection with her stepsons. Btw, do they go to Switzerland with CP Frederick?

They holiday in different locations in Switzerland. Maries family have a home near Villars and that is where she and her family vacation. Frederik and his family holiday in Verbier.

sigh and now we begin this old chestnut....which Princess has the prettier babies. Honestly do we have to hash this one over cant this be put in a thread all of its own please so the people who are here to genuinely just enjoy the royal family as a whole can do so without the team competitiveness.

i like every crown princely family, i love their children, each one of them is special on their own way, thats what makes them so unique!
but nevertheless, i think christythedreamer didnt mean any ill feelings on her statement, but yes, comments like that doesnt belong here, theres a thread specially for that (i believe its the prettiest young royals or cute young royals right? i think its on the Chit Chat thread)

She was saying something about "who'll go first", couldn't quite make out what it was she asked Joachim about, and then she was talking about Athena and that she isn't quite big enough to be skiing yet, and lastly she said goodbye.
I'd say she still has a slight accent, but I think her Danish, like Mary's, is phenomenal. She really impresses me everytime I hear her speak Danish.

you are absolutely right Im sure too that christythedreamer wasnt meaning illwill but it seems of late comments like these just open the flood gates for pages of competitive comparison over trivial things. It really gets in the way of discussing more enjoyable events and topics that are relevant.
