Yes, I noticed some troubles with their hosiery....too shiny nylons and Frederik's socks (it looks like he was trying for a knickers effect ?).

Alexandra looks great at that evening event, though, despite the nylons. She looks younger and younger, and oh so serene.

Splendid pictures of Princess Alexandra!
I liked her outfit! The design is simple yet it looks great on her.
She could have done something to her hair even though it isn't that long yet. To make her more beautiful.
I also liked her shoes. That's was also what she wore during the state visit of the royals from Luxembourg. It's very stylish!

It is fine with me if she is wearing stockings but I hope she chooses one that complements with her skin tone. Not something that is very bright.

her overall outfit is very nice..

Prince Henrik should have worn his pants properly. It was like the lower part of his pants was folded so his long and white socks was revealed.

what's the matter with the nylons ... they look good to me.

what gets me is, her red hat is somehow wrong, and she also looks a tad cranky.

This woman is beautiful and classy without even trying. She radiates warmth and sincerity and I really believe that she would have, if circumstances were different, made a wonderful Crown Princess and future Queen.

What is the Elephant necklace thingy (I apologize because I don't know the proper name for it) What is it called, and what is the significance behind it.

By the way it's very lovely

raven.
the elephant necklace thingy is a danish order called the "order of the elephant" If I remember correctly only members of the royal family get to wear it.

I've noticed that Joachim looks older than Frederik now...I know they're only a year apart but Joachim looks 40-something while Frederik looks in his late 20s. Joachim was pretty handsome in the past though. This must be because of the cigarettes.

Thanks, Jenna, for posting these beautiful photos. It's quite hard for me to think there will be no other photos such as these for Joachim and Alexandra. I'm wondering if there was some start of "trouble brewing" when these photos were taken?

I can tell you that CP Frederik is 36 years old and that his kidbrother Joachim is 35 years old.
I have lost a great deal of respekt for Prince Joachim sinc the announcement of the deviorce of Prince Joachim and Princesse Alexandra.
He looks like a grumpy mand and i am so glad that he is not going to be the next regent her in Denmark.:)

I agree. When I started getting interested in the Danish Royal family, I always thought that Joachim was older!
