What is actually funny is that the second name of princess Alexandra zy Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg's little Ingrid is Alexandra (after her mother, quite normal).

In my opinion, Elisabeth or Alexandrine (a late Queen of Denmark, if I remember) would be very royal.
I've got a sister named Elisabeth and my best friend is Alexandrine: both these first name are full of caracter.

I hope they have a boy first just to keep everything nice and simple with the line of sucession. And I hope they name him Christian for tradition and because I like that name. For a girl I'm sure they'll choose a really beautiful name probably one of the ones already mentioned in this thread. I think Margrethe will be in the name but not the first name, like Nicolaj has Frederick or Christian in his name incase the CP didn't have any children.

Will the baby's name be announced right away???
Or is the name not announced until the baptism like Joachim and Alexandra's sons???

I have a feeling it will be Henrietta as well if its a girl, either that or Margrethe.

If its a boy, i dont think it will be Christian or Frederik as i think they will break with tradition.

More names i like for Mary and Fred's baby:
girl: Christine Ingrid Henrietta Elisabeth
girl: Henrietta Renée Alexandrine Margrethe
girl: Alexandrine Henrietta Adeleine
boy: Christian John Fredrik André
boy: Joachim Alexander Henrik René
boy: Carl Fredrik John André

It's a bit hard to find a other royal Danish name than Christian and Fredrik.

and what is Prince Henriks fathers name?

Prince Henrik's father was called André, which is also among Henrik and Frederik's names.

I think it would be great if they picked out some names from the royal family that hasn't really been used for some generations. Such as Harald, as hilal suggested above.

I don't think, though, that the baby should have more than four names. Something like Princess Elisabeth's would just be a burden to a child, at least today: Elisabeth Caroline-Mathilde Alexandrine Helena Olga Thyra Feodora Estrid Margarethe Désirée

Ok i dont think they will call him Joseph Hugo. Poor boy if he is called that. Joseph is also a rather catholic name and no one in the royal house of Denmark have ever had that name.
