Mary's on this week's New Idea
If you can't read what it says, it says "Mary Defies Palace: I won't dump my Aussie pal" I take it by "Aussie pal" they mean Amber Petty? And I doubt she's defiying the palace in keeping her as a friend! Source: New Idea newsletter e-mail http://s2.supload.com/free/marynewid...0904.jpg/view/ |

With New Idea, Woman's day and the German Press more than a spoon of salt is required when reading. Try a bucket load.

I'm sure the tabloids are 99.9% full of crap, but I wouldn't be surprised if Mary is a little homesick and sometimes nostalgic for how carefree she was before moving to Denmark. Royal life, while full of privilege, is very structured and full of protocol and routine. Sometimes it might get a little wearing.

My uncle who owns a newsagency has recently gone through his database and back copies of magazines, and gave me all the copies that have Mary on the cover, I've scanned some for you (some of them had to be made smaller because my scanner is on the fritz and doesn't do what I want it to do
). They are mainly old, from 2004-early 2005 ![]() And a set of four magazine covers from Getty ![]() Source: Scanned from my own copies (bless my wonderful uncle! :)) |

AUSTRALIA MAGAZINES: WOMAN'S DAY + NEW IDEA
![]() Woman's Day: There saying that Mary's "BABY DREAM" is shatters as she (Mary) and Frederick struggle to concieve a child a second time. It just talks about Mary seeking help from British fertility specialists and comparing her to Princess Diana (how just like Diana who had a lot of stress put on her to produce another 'spare' for the throne) the same thing is happening to Mary and how because of the stress to produce another child is ruining that chance of concieiving another child. It also says that Mary desperatly wants a girl and how it hurts her whenever she looks at Federick spending time with Christian because she knows that he wants another child to. Talks about how fatherhood has changed Federick and his visit to a kindergarten. New Idea: Mary is not on the cover of this issue of New Idea. Talks about the similarities/the things that CP Mary and CP Mette-Marit of Norway have in common (AUSTRALIA). It has pictures of when Mette-Marit was young living in Australia (I think she did a student -exchange). I havn't read all the article yet but it looks intresting. |

Wasn't it mentioned previously (by this I mean before we found out Mary was pregnant with Christian) that she had received treatment from a British clinic before conceiving Christian?
It's amazing how they change their "facts" to suit their stories..... |

The September issue of the Australian Women's Weekly features Mary on the cover with the title 'Royal Exclusive - Mary Forced to put her Baby Dream on Hold'.
http://s2.supload.com/free/womenswee...mary.jpg/view/ There is also an excerpt from the article on the AWW website: Mary's dilemma: duty or desire Denmark’s long, lazy days of summer will soon be drawing to a close, and for Crown Princess Mary, wife of one future king and mother of another, the first whiff of a sterner reality hangs in the air. At Grasten Palace, the royal family’s favourite summer residence, the Australian-born princess has recently enjoyed an idyllic stay with her husband Crown Prince Frederik and 10-month-old son, Christian. Yet while Mary’s happiness and buoyant popularity are apparent to everyone, there are concerns in royal circles that — rather sooner than intended — she may have to step up to a more prominent role in royal affairs. The apprehension centres on the health of 66-year-old Queen Margrethe and, to a lesser extent that of her husband, Prince Henrik. In May, the Queen underwent a knee replacement, and although the surgery was judged a success, she has spent much of the time since on crutches or in a wheelchair, looking tired and sometimes to be in pain. A heavy smoker, the Queen has often been chided — not least by her own family — for neglecting her health, and while there may be no serious concerns, few expect Margrethe to resume a full roster of public duties. The main jist of the article is that the palace is forcing Mary to forego having any more children right now in favour of doing more duties All from the AWW website |
