Thanks for posting Roskilde.
Great photos of Prince Christian. What a pleasure to see such a caring and delightful young man and so lovely to see that he has been the same from a very young child, so this a natural trait for him.

Thanks for sharing this link, Muhler :flowers:

This is a truly a unique and heartwarming book.

Crown Princess Mary made the book as the official ‘people gift’ to her husband and the Danes on the occasion of his 50th birthday.

It's unique - I don't think we've seen such a personal picture book before in royal families. And it only gets better because most of the pictures are Mary's own and she gives good and reflective descriptions of when and why she has taken the pictures. You know, she is a great photographer. Heartvarming photos from their holidays in Trend, etc. that we might not otherwise see.

In addition, there are these 'behind the scenes' photos from the official photographs. They are also lovely and the book describes that Frederik and Mary have room for fun during the official shoots because it is needed for the official photos to get genuine.

A beautiful book that again shows Mary's deep love and understanding of her husband. With that book, Mary (again) beautifully and honestly describes what person Frederik is.

Frederik’s 50th birthday celebration was full of gifts for us royalists, it was a unique 2 weeks celebration. (I hope we get just some celebration of Mary too when she turns 50 years in 1.5 years and by that are giving the opportunity to see Frederik pay just as heartwarm tribute back to his wife. Her 40th birthday became completely low-key when Margrethe celebrated her 40th anniversary some weeks earlier. When Mary turns 50, Margrethe will be able to celebrate her 50th anniversary some weeks earlier. But I hope. A round birthday just gives a unique insight into the person having the birthday and after all Mary is our lovely future Queen. We got big official celebration at Prince Henrik’s birthdays, so there is hope.)

These three are great photos of a relaxed couple. Many thanks Blog real for digging them up.

I haven't had the chance to check out all of Muhlers photos yet.

Came across this pictures of Frederik and Mary kissing each other gooodbye on board Dannebrog last summer. The picture are taken by an ordinary Dane who waited down at the harbour for Royal Run to start. I have a soft spot for pictures taken by people. They capture those little moments we only got to see if they share them on their Instagram etc. It's not all things the press discovers or sees, and thank God for that.

Two people genuinely in love. I am sure they are soul mates. A quick peck on the lips to say goodbye. It's these little spontaneous gestures that mean so much in a marriage.
He has a lovely home life that he knows he forged together with a woman who is his best friend, partner for life, his soul mate.
And that is all any of us want. Or for some of us the holy grail is a happy home life.
Oh dear I've become all gooey.

Very nice photo of the two. In connection with the Crown Prince Cultural Prizes.
Both are very good looking.

I still prefer the one they picked for the official portrait, because it captured Mary in just the right moment.

Frederik is still a goodlooking man with the salt and pepper beard. He has been blessed with good genes.

Thanks Polyesco :flowers:
These are some very good pictures of our handsome Crown Prince! Mary is a lucky woman, but Frederik is indeed a lucky man as well.

Thanks Roskilde for the lovely photos. One of the collage photos shows the family are very big on hugs. They appear to be a very close knit family and those children know they are loved equally. And they can see the love between the parents as well, which gives a warm feeling to the child of belonging to this family dynamic. And that is a powerful thing to ones physce Not idea how to spell it at midnight.

I don't think either of them have changed that much all these years later.

Wow Muhler, what an amazing selection of photos you have collected here. Each one shows Vincent and Josephine'st connection to each other and speaks of the special joy being two halves of a whole while being two separate people.

Their contentment with each other really speaks to those who are finding life a bit of a grind at the moment and shows that time moves on but the important things stay the same. It's a wonderful illustration of the "now" we are living.

Small things like these photos 'inspirit' us, reassuring us that life marches on and we can either march with it or wander around pointlessly kicking stones and missing the sheer joie de vivre of it all. Covid sucks but that is the hand we have been all been dealt but we can take a lesson from this collection.

It is how we chose to live life that matters and each of these photos show that Vincent and Josephine are centred and even serene at times and that sparkle appears in one or the other's eye and sometimes both letting us know each photo is just a moment in time illustrated by two truly beautiful young souls who, when they are together, are more than the sum of the whole. They are twins and they are together. What a wonderful metaphor for living in the time of Covid . . . we need to rely on one another and take joy in what we have.

Ugh, I haven't had my morning coffee yet and my mind is waxing weirdly poetic but the photos are just so very stunningly evocative. Coffee now!

That was beautifully put. Most encouraging as well.
And just what is needed before going to bed in a not too distant future. :flowers:

I think it's fun to look at them together even in portraits.

Josephine is theatrical, all over the place with loads of facial expressions.
While Vincent is the observer. - And we all know by now how good an observer he is!
Especially when he comes up with some truths from behind the stage.

Vincent is the boy who calls out: But he hasn't got any clothes on!

Well said Marg, you did very well for early morning. I adore little Prince Vincent. There is something about him that pulls at my heart strings.

Ha ha.

Many thanks Muhler for your choice of photos. Gives one a feel good moment to see them. Fred and Mary have produced a lovely little family.
