A picture of Mary and Frederik in uniform.

Both are wearing the service/field uniform.
Mary is wearing the green beret of the Army Home Guard. Frederik is wearing the black beret of a combat regiment in the regular army.
In case you are wondering, the two ribbons Mary is wearing are the Order of the Elephant and a commemoration medal by QMII. I can't make out which one. - But you have seen her wearing the medal close to her shoulder when she is in a dress.
Frederik is wearing the free fall jumpwings.
He is also wearing the ribbon of the Order of the Elephant, with a commemoration ribbon beneath that.
The coloured belt he is wearing is in the colours of the Guards Hussars Regiment.
Back then Frederik was a lieutenant colonel, he is now full colonel.
Mary is a second lieutenant.

This is a stunning photograph. Mary looks very elegant and sophisticated (and I'm not usually a hat person, but I have no issues with this one).

The cold, clean air and the fjord do not keep HM from ensuring her nails are still beautifully manicured! An ice queen indeed!:flowers:

...And now I'm cracking up at the image you described :ROFLMAO:. Heavens, it doesn't help that it's almost three in the morning where I am, because everything is ten times funnier when one's been up longer than necessary. Though I'm grateful for a laugh. Can't have too many of those :D.

I also like the pic of Fred in his red pants. Takes confidence to wear red pants, don't you think?
 
:previous: And they're not just red pants, they're red velvet pants :D. I tell you, Frederik does love to make fashion statements once in a while (though the velvet has got to go).
