More from BT about M&F going to Australia: Nu skal de royale tvillinger til Australien - Royale - BT.dk

Apparantly the paper Herald Sun wrote about it the other day and that has had an immediate effect.

Mary is patron of the Allanah and Madeline Foundation and she will attend the fundraiser Allanah and Madeline Starry Starry Night event. Which will take place on 26. November.
There are 1.000 seats for that event and now suddenly there is a big interest in going to this fundraiser.

Perhaps Australian members can provide more details?

(Post to be moved).

In reference to your post Muhler, here is a link to the Alannah and Madeline Foundation website that outlines the function the Crown Prince and Crown Princess are to attend in Melbourne.

The Alannah and Madeline Foundation: Starry Starry Night

I understand there is a thread dedicated to the Australian visit but it appears to be locked. I will do some more reseach in local media and see what I can find if there is interest amongst other members?

Here is the Herald Sun report you may be thinking of:

I think the search is on in Sydney for youngsters called Vincent and Josephine...because I remember the last time the CPC was in Australia for this event, the little girl whose task it was to present the Princess with flowers was an 'Isabella'...Someone can find the video for me...So I think some serious scouting is going on to find two kids, one boy, one girl around 5-8 years old, called Vincent or Josephine...Sweet touch and lets hope I am right?

The official press release from Kongehuset, tells us nothing new but refers to the visit as an 'official visit'. The couple will be hosted by Governor-General Quentin Bryce and will meet with Prime Minister Julia Gillard.

On November 22nd, Mary and Frederik will plant a tree at the National Arboretum Canberra. A ballot is being held to determine which members of the public, who register, will be allowed to attend.

And the press believes that the Alannah and Madeleine eSmart luncheon on November 26th in Melbourne will take place in Broadmeadows, at the Hume Global Learning Centre.

It has also been reported that Mary and Frederik will visit Broken Hill on November 25th.
Barrier Daily Truth, Broken Hill's Daily Newpaper: City to host Princess
ETA: The visit to Broken Hill will see Mary and Frederik tour the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) base.

All the press are also reporting that they will be bringing Vincent and Josephine with them, but nothing has been confirmed about Christian and Isabella. This article says that a Royal Court spokesperson confirmed to AAP that the twins will come for the whole visit, and Christian and Isabella will come to Australia with Frederik upon his return from Vietnam.

Thanks for the link for the tree planting...I have entered the ballot with no idea how I will make it happen if I am successful...Canberra is an 8 hour drive from where I live, my husband would be reluctant to take time off work for such a thing too...and a long road trip with four kids in tow is a big ask...But you gotta be in it to win it ;)

AnnaNotherThing,I've entered too. I'm between Sydney and Melbourne. You have a further drive. But lets hope we are successful. It would be a wonderful thing to see the Crown Prince Couple.

Waiting to see a Sydney itinerary?

Program published today:
Kongehuset - Aktuelt - Nyheder

Seems like a busy week.

Thanks for that Ricarda - I will add the complete program to the top of the thread.

Four days in Melbourne - Goody! :D

Thank you for the program, looks very busy for the couple. Im looking forward to the BBQ, would be interesting and quite different form all events we have seen. Seems casual yet formal in a way.

Dazz, it seems BBQs are the 'in-thing' to give to dignitaries visiting Australia in recent times - Queen Elizabeth got one on her trip last month, and I'm pretty sure Prince William got one when he came at the beginning of the year.

Thank you JessRulz for the programme. Hoping to get to Sydney on Sunday. My husband will need to entertain our two children for a few hours on the Harbour:) AnnaNotherThing have you heard from the Canberra ballot?

No Rosie...I think it is a no-go...it was only open to 500 people and I think the preference was for Canberra-ians (?) ...So I am sure more than 500 Canberra residents applied and that is the pool they chose from...If there was a lack of numbers, I think they would have opened it up to some interstate ring-ins ;)

I take objection to Channel Seven referring to Tanja as one of the twins' nannies - the writers for the news/newspapers are paid to know their facts, and so often, they make mistakes which would be quite easy to find the answer to by a simple Google search.

Prince Frederik is expected to arrive in Sydney tonight.

Did they? Do you have a clip of the C7 thing or Mary and her entourages arrival...?

:previous:

There wasn't a video of them arriving, they just showed still pictures (same as you posted in the Adelaide Now link) while speaking over it. I'm checking now to see if any other station had a piece with footage.

ETA: Clip of the arrival from Ten News. Select 'Royal Arrival' from the playlist on the right-hand side if it takes you to the main page.

The court has announced that Christian & Isabella would arrive in a week to Australia according to this article.

But did they really refer to Tanja as a 'nanny'?

Yes - they said Mary was carrying Josephine, and that Prince Vincent was being carried by "one of the nannies". :closedeye

This article from News.com.au also refers to Tanja as a nanny - pity there's no comment section there. You should have also seen the amount of luggage that was bundled into the car entourage - there was some luggage that looked suspiciously like hat boxes. :D
