Crown Princess Mary's Ladies-in-Waiting

If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
What sad news. My sympathies are with Ms. Jorgensen's family and friends, including Crown Princess Mary. It sounds like she was a lovely woman.

indeed, condolences are due, but presumably also an autopsy to discover why this unfortunate women died at such a young age.

Such sad news, that's way too young an age to die at.
My condolences goes out to her friends and family.

A little more on the death of Mary's chamber maid, Tina Jørgensen: Marys kammerjomfru død: 'Det er synd for de kongelige børn' - Royale | www.bt.dk
Rystet efter dødsfald: Marys kammerjomfru var særdeles vellidt - Royale | www.bt.dk

Søren Hedegaard, Mary's hairdresser and private friend praise Tine Jørgensen highly, not least because he knew her personally.
He says among other things: "There are perhaps many in other countries who will remember her. She was very well liked indeed in the Nordic royal families. She wasn't only there for us in Denmark, she was also the helping hand, when we were visited by our colleagues from Scandinavia. She posessed the discretion and loyalty that her job demanded.
She was like a mother to us all. An octopus with very long arms, who was there for everyone, both the royals, their bodyguards, in short all. She ran from here to the end of the world, moving a stain here, then giving an extra hand there. It was her unique personality that made her (suited as) being the chamber maid of the Crown Princess".

His spouse, Preben Christensen, who is also a friend of m&F, is more worried about the children, with whom Tina Jørgensen was close: "I certainly understand that the DRF is deeply afflicted. She has meant a lot to these people. Not least for the children in the family. She had no childrren herself, but she had an incredible rapport with children. I dare not think how the children are right now".

Billed-Bladet - Kronprinsesse Mary har fået ny kammerjomfru

Mary now has a new chambermaid/Lady's Maid replacing the late Tina Jørgensen.

The new Chambermaid is Lise Møller Jensen and she goes straight from a job as a dresser for the entertainment trio Linie 3, to now sevicing Mary.
She has obviously been employed through Mary's most trusted network. One of the members of Linie 3 is Preben Christensen, and his husband is Mary's hairdresser Søren Hedegaard.
Tina Jørgensen also worked for linie 3.

The new one, Lise Møller, has 25 years of experience within theatre.
I see from the article that Lise Møller will not only be looking after Mary's clothes, she will also assist Mary in the daily running of the private household and in many ways also function as a personal assistant. (There are after all items a royal can't just pop down to the local drug store to fetch and things like that).

ADDED.
As such the chambermaid's functions overlap those of the LiW.
The LiW escort a princess, when on the job.
Apart from reminding the princess about the schedule, who to meet, names and where to go the LiW will also carry personal necessities. Which may be a good idea if the princess has her period, is allergic, has a blistering headache or needs to repair her make-up and so on.
The LiW will also dicreetly ask for a break in the schedule if the princess needs to "wash her hands", get a plaster on her foot, needs to take care of a stain and so on. Which is why we never see a princess ask where the bathroom is.

What a shock this must be. That's very sad.

Summary of article in Billed Bladet #3, 2013.
Marys nye kammerjomfru - Mary's new Lady's maid.
Written by Ulrik Ulriksen.

Who took up position at Amalienborg on the birthday of the twins and here he spotted Lise Møller Jensen Mary's new Lady's maid, on her way inside Amalienborg.

Lise Møller Jensen has worked for the enyertainment trio Linie 3, in which Preben Christensen is a member. Preben Christensen's husband is Søren Hedegaard, Mary's haidresser. It was also he who introduced Anja Alajdi to Mary.
Lise Møller Jensen has experience working for ten years at the Pantomime Teater in Tivoli, and here she has often met QMII, when she has acted as hobby-scenographer.

Lise Møller Jensen started in her job straight after M&F returned from Hong Kong in December, on that trip Anja Alajdi stepped in as a Lady's maid.
It is assumed Lise Møller Jensen will accompany Mary to the Young Global Leaders conference in Switzerland in a few days.

Summary of a Q&A in Billed Bladet #39, 2013.

Where a Gitte Jensen would like to know whether Caroline Heering is still a LiW.

Jon Bloch Skipper replies that they are both LiW.

Apart from accompanying Mary on the job they also have a number of additional functions:
Buying items.
Sorting the mail.
Co-ordination various activities.

Apart from that Tanja Doky is Mary private secretary (so it's mostly she who now do the things listed above).
While Caroline Heering is Mary advisor in the Mary Foundation.

:previous: Thanks Muhler :)

And here one more article from BT, where Caroline says some words to bt.dk:

Veninden til BT: Derfor forlader jeg Mary - Royale | www.bt.dk

- "There's really not much mystery involved. I've had eight educational and eventful years in both the Royal House and in the Mary Foundation, and I've been very happy with my job both places. Nevertheless, I have now decided that I will try something else - what it will be, I don't know yet, but I will use the next time getting closer to that answer."

- "I will continue to sit in the Mary Foundation Board, which pleased me very much as I obviously still is very interested in the MaryFoundation's future work."

So we will still see Caroline to all events associated with the Mary Foundation.

Caroline Heering stopper som kronprinsesse Marys hofdame | Billed Bladet

I know she has 2 kids, and may be too much work to handle with a family, I don't know what her husband does for work but I guess she really doesn't nned to work for the money, I think they are very well off! may be she wants some time for herself and her family with no schedule........ who really knows?........

I'm very curious to see who the next lady-in-waiting will be. Any guesses? Surely a woman from Mary's close circle, her own age...

I have often thought that the position of LIW must be exhausting. She is at CP Mary's side at almost all public appearances, always there to help, and dressed for the occasion. Mary has assistants to help with wardrobe, etc. - does the LIW? Surely she has to have help with her own household and family.

Wow, wonder why she is leaving?

Well for one thing she'll be making more money in her new function I'm sure ;)

Nordic, perhaps the functions of liw & private secretary could be split? Or Mary may choose to have several ladies-in-waiting seeing as her work load has certainly gone up these past years. It does seem like a big job for one lady to have to prepare all the activities and foreign visits, and be present at Mary's side for all official occasions as well.

Because she got a great job in a great company, I guess.
I actually don't think that being a l-i-w is so very exhausting (and I don't think she is the one who "prepares" all the activities and foreign visits), but it must become quite boring after a while.
Nevertheless, in this case it seems to have been a wise career move.
I liked Tanja and wish her the best for the future.

Maybe if LIW was her only job.
As Mary's secretary she must have had lots to do with the "preparing" and lots of other stuff, but not on her own. There's Chief of Court and Frederik's secretary too.

Her job can't be that exhausting because Mary does have people who plan her trips, arranges her agenda etc.I doubt all that is left for one lady who is suppose to accompany Mary. But I would assume that she won't have much time in her private life as she does a lot of traveling with Mary and attends functions during the day at different timings.

"She is going to work as a chief of communication for A.P. Møller-Mærsk."
I think its simply down to a better job financially.
She has worked as a communications consultant for Maersk Line, before, it just makes sense for her career path.

She did a great job with Mary and Im sure the friendship will continue, I think we saw Tanja's kids with Isabella and Christian going to a concert last year.

If not mistaken, Mary and Tanja knew each other before Tanja started working for Mary.

Who do you mean?
Isn't that what Tanja as Mary's personal secretary would have been doing? In cooperation with
The Chief of Court and others.

BT has some interesting details that may explain why Tanja Doky has resigned as LiW: Marys hofdame siger op - Livsstil | www.bt.dk

Last Tanja Doky and her husband split up and as such she now lives with the couple's two children.
Since the break-up the couple has not featured on the official guest lists of the court, for pretty obvious reasons...

BT writes that Caroline Heering, who resigned as Mary's Liw and private secretary some time back, still hasn't another employment, so perhaps she will be available?

I remember she was advisor to Mary for the Mary foundation, did she quite?
