I didn't express myself clearly enough.

Back around the time when she was dating Frederik, she considered returning to the legal profession.
She is quoted for saying that in the new Frederik-book. I will deal with that, when I get to the chapter about M&F's relationship.

That makes much more sense, Muhler - apologies for the misunderstanding!

I'll be interested in that too Muhler when you get to it.

(And thank you for the photo scans in the other thread. Really like that Mary's family were included in the book.)

Mary was a nobody from Tasmania, last stop before the Antarctic. It's an old British penal colony so I can't see their education system being anything like we have here in Europe. What, she has a double degree? Law and Commerce? I don't think so, I mean, did you see those cheap clothes? And her hair? The woman doesn't even know how to dress herself properly, drinks beer and you expect me to believe she's a university graduate . . . Shut up! Shut up! Shut up!!!
What basis do you make these statements? Australia’s education system is world class , that is why so many overseas students complete degrees in Australia. Everything else you said is your Ill informed opinion which I disagree completely.
Thanks but no thanks.

MARG was being sarcastic. Read the remainder of this thread and you'll see how MARG's sarcastic post transpired.

Congratulations on your first posts, Kenneth.butler

Indeed. Over the years we have come to know, respect and like Marg for her inputs.
It would be totally out of character for her to flame anyone, let alone Mary and her family.
And those of us who know Marg also know that she has a wicked sense of humor.

I think you'll like it here, Kenneth.butler. People here on TRF are civilized also when posting about people they are perhaps not that keen on - those who are not usually don't last long.

Indeed, Australia has a world-class education system and much better than in Argentina or in Spain where Máxima and Letizia got their degrees. Having said that, I agree that Mary came from an ordinary middle-class family (her father was a respected university professor) while Máxima is from a family who, if Argentina were not a republic, would be the local equivalent to the landed nobility in Europe.
