Yes CP Mary has two official events today, but both without press access.
The last one with out a doubt to protect the young cancer patients for all the media fuss:

At 15.00 (3.00pm)
HRH The Crown Princess holds Christmas reception for The Mary Foundation partners.
In Frederik VIII's Palace, Amalienborg (the Crown Prince Couple's home).

At 19.00 (7.00pm)
HRH The Crown Princess visits CancerWork.
Rigshospitalet, Copenhagen.

We usaully always get some pictures published from the Mary Foundations Christmas reception and I also think we will get some pictures published from Mary's meeting with the young cancer patients - but probably first tomorrow sometime :)

:previous: Very understandable that the press was not allowed, the DRF facebook has released three pictures

"Young cancer patients at the hospital got in last night visited by HRH Crown Princess in their common room, called Cancer Work.
Cancer work is a meeting place for young people who are being treated for cancer at Rigshospitalet. In addition, the outer Cancer plant's young ambassadors and volunteer support to cancer patients young and organizes events and excursions."

Indeed. One's daily little problems are trivial in comparison.

Lovely and relaxing pictures of Mary visiting the young cancer patients at the hospital.

Such a visit provides content and meaning for the ordinary cancer patiens - and gives the royal house meaning. Mary has an ability to make people feel relaxed and comfortable in her company - I have personally experienced that - it is her relaxed laid-back and attentive personality. You are just present and forget photographers and etc.

This is clearly in these pictures too... An ability Frederik also has very much.

A visible and popular Crown Prince couple.

Thanks for the most wonderful visit and support. We had en fantastic evening ❤️

The young people meeting Mary yesterday confirm the exact same feelings I had after meeting CP Mary (and CP Frederik):

"Yesterday Crown Princess Mary visited CancerWork at the hospital, where she showed her warm personality! The fact that I was elected to give her flowers and
hold a speech to her, and that she subsequently gives one a big hug! I think that's pretty big! ❤"

"Crown Princess Mary visited @kraeftvaerket. The Crown Princess was wonderful, curious and genuine." Drinkring tea will never be the same again❤️"

Great pictures of a happy Mary at today's reception.

CP Mary has written the forewords and we know this topic is one of those she works hardest with. Yesterday TV2 send the annual programme 'The year in the royal family' and here Mary was highly praised for her strong and passionated work generally, but especially with women's rights.

Mary said: "A sustainable world is not possible if half of its population continue to denied their fundamental opportunities and human rights."

This event is CP Mary's last officially before it seems like the Crown Prince famiy hold Christmas holiday :flowers:

The recipient, Pernille Ehrenberg, is a classical example of gender equality:
That women can be just as ruthless as men. That women can screw things up just as good as any man and that women can treat their costumers with indifference, just as her male predecessors did...

Pernille Ehrenberg is the current CEO of TDC.
TDC, which previously was comparable to British Telecom and similar communication businesses controlled by the state, has since they went commercial and private gained an unenviable reputation for poor costumer service - while still behaving as though it's still the time of state-monopoly within the field of communication.

Just like Danish Mail, Danish Rail and Royal Danish Post, it should never have been privatized. Service has only gone one way since then: Down. - Sorry, with the exception of the prices.

article from Mary's event last Friday at the Women Board
"Berlingske have today in business-appendix decided to bring an excerpt of h.k.h. crown princes s' speech to the distribution of the women's Board Award 2017 from last Friday, which was about women in leadership and social norms."

glad a picture was posted in the DRF facebook. This was not on the agenda. :flowers:

Mary looked very nice, its nice that this was posted especially that it wasn't on the calendar. I wonder how many events a year she does thats not listed (meaning not general meetings to do with the foundations).

Many, I'm sure. She's one dedicated, conscientious and hardworking Crown Princess who will makes a change.
Just try to think of all the weekly meetings she has in the Mary Foundation.
We saw that in the tv-programme there once were send about the Mary Foundation. Weekly meetings of President of the Mary Foundation - meetings we never hear about or are posted in Mary's official calendar. And that's just in the Mary Foundation. Then there are all the meetings like this one today...

Frederik's visit in France were not posted in his offical calender either.

Mary looks like a million tonight :flowers:

Happy birthday tommorow :)

Does Mary have a new stylist? Today's look, for example: black and white tweed, purple hat and shoes, black scarf ... she's done better. :ermm: Having said that, it looks like an interesting exhibition.

She often has outfits where hat and/or gloves and shoes are a different colour. Perhaps she prefers not to be all matchy matchy every time. :)

For those interested in (silver) jewellery, it might absolutely be worth visiting.

It's basically a look at what ordinary people had in their jewellery box (smykkeskrin) during the 1900's. Including the various changes in style over the decades.

As for Mary's attire. That's probably a necessity. The wind is in the east these days, so it's a bit chilly, with snow and sleet.
