Princess Mary takes over the patronage of The Danish Heart Association from her father-in-law, Prince Henrik.

On May 18th, the Crown Princess attended a meeting with the Danish Heart Association.There the Crown Princess was briefed on research for heart valve diseases and other current plans and activities by the Association. Mary later on visited a counceling center in Copenhagen were many heart patients receive councelling.

The event was not mentioned on the couple's calender. Thanks to the CPMEMB for spotting the event.

For a little over a year ago I started my work for the heart cause. It is very important to me that research in heart desease is something we still understand the necessety of and continue to support

That is why I am today very happy to on the "hjerteforeningens" birthday hand over money to five researchers to ther very important (livsviktig) work

Lene Hyldgaard Pedersen has done an important work with young people who are born with heart desease. Her work has ment a better way of life for youngsters with heart problems

Jordi Dahl and Morten Dahlsgaard works in different fields to improve the threatment of patients with serious heart valve disease

Thomas Sangild Sørensen is in his research on the track(?) of how new techonology can diagnose and cure heart desease

Vibeke Guldbrand Rasmussen works with heart desease that affects people who are already suffering from other serios deseases

All the five researchers shows a big involvement and work to find new ways to threat heart valve disease. En problem that unfortunatly more and more people suffer from

With fighting the consequenses of serious heartdesease do we not only help the people who are sick. We also help their families, whos life changes, when a dear person is affected of a seriosu desease

It is my hope that the researchers work with time will help many heart patients and their families. To the researchers I wish to say thank you for your work - and good luck with your work

According to the Danish Royal Calendar, Mary is attending the anniversary of the Danish Heart Association. I just don't know how many years they have been in existence. :o

I think this green suit looks so much better with the lighter hose and the dark shoes. The way she wore it in New York with the dark hose and multi-color shoes just didn't do anything to bring out the color of the suit. She looks lovely.

I agree those stockings looked dreadful- they were almost a bronze color (might have been the light) with pale textured shoes- not a good look but she looks wonderful in these latest photos and her speech was great.:)
